  1. I thought I read in another post where someone said that it just directs you to the block that the address is on. Like my house is 1225 it knows which side of the street I'm on but says I'm there when I'm only halfway down my block. I've noticed it do this going to other places also. Dan

    AVIC D3

I have a 04 Tacoma and it fits for what its worth. Crutchfield also said it wouldn't fit in my truck. It not only did fit but I didn't need any aftermarket brackets I just swapped the factory brackets over from the old stereo to the D3 Dan

    CD-RM10 Cable

be careful the pioneer cable is setup different than other brands. I don't know how to explain it but on the part that plugs into the d3 the wires are re aranged so if you buy a different brand the rca connectors might not match up. Like the yellow connector might be a audio source and a red might actually be the video etc. I just found where I read it, bottom of page 16 in the D3 INSTALLATION manual. I don't have any initial need for using this cable but I ordered it with my D3 anyway, whats another 20 bucks on a 1k unit. Dan
  4. I think I am having the same problem. It started after I hit shuffle/random and I haven't sat down and read the manual yet on how to get it off shuffle. Dan
  5. I thought it was because pioneer makes all their xm recievers to be backwards compatable with their older "ip bus" stereos. Its cool if you have a old stereo running xm but if you fork out 2k for stereo equipment it kinda sucks. Dan
  6. I doubt this is possible, but would there be any possible way to upgrade a btb100 software to the 200 software? Dan
  7. I put mine here on my ex cab tacoma. Its a little low to the ground but it was the only place that wasn't totally obvious. I don't want the cam to clue people that I have a nav system to go with it. But yeah this is where I put mine.
  8. I've heard people every now and then talk about having a lifetime membership to xm. I have not seen this offered on their website and was wondering if you actually can get it, how much it costs, and how to get it? Thanks Dan
  9. Page 53 in the D3 manual explains the nav traffic icons. I too couldn't figure out what they meant. Its crazy because the navtraffic tuner manual didn't have any info about them. Dan
  10. I used the XMSCION03 code and I am a returning customer. I was a little surprised they took it definately a good deal. Dan
  11. I put mine on the roof, yeah you can get away with it inside but you'll always get the best signal on the roof. It was a major pita to pull all the panels and such to get it there but I'm glad I put it there. You only have to install this thing once so I figured I'd do it right. Dan
  12. I think that means you have the wrong disc in there. There's a east and west disc. You have to look at the pic on the orginal disc to see which one you need. I'm in MO and I figured I'd be on the east disc but actually MO is the cut off for the west disc. Dan
  13. seems like they get a new shipment every monday or tuesday. Dan
  14. Mine does in the form of "no signal, weak, marginal, strong, very strong" Just go to the info/traffic tab and hit "xm status" P63 in the D3 Manual talks more about it. Dan
  15. not many, I just figured out how to change the gauges the the g meters yesterday. Plus I drive a truck also so I dont wanna push it very hard. Now if I had the D3 in my T/A then I could have a little more fun hehe. Definately another cool feature of the D3!! Dan
  16. mine says low normally then when i put it in reverse it switches to high just before the backup cam turns on. Dan
  17. no that is what the illumination wire is for
  18. whtcrxghst I take it your remote is wireless??? I tired an old wireless pioneer remote I have from another stereo and it wasn't working. Then again I can't be for sure that the remote is still good lol. Dan
  19. Page 4 of D3 manual "This database was developed and recorded up to April 2006. Changes to streets/highways made after that time may not be reflected in this database" I think it's the POI thats only updated every couple of years or so but the maps are updated every year. Dan
  20. I mounted mine right under my trailer hitch on my tacoma. It really was the only place to mount it. Except for right in front of the liscense plate but I figured that was too obvious and would tip people off that I have a nav system. It is probably a little too close to the ground but it's very unnoticable. I have it temporaly taped in place until I can get someone to aim it for me and get it perfectly lined up like I want it. Dan
  21. If I understand your question then yes you can have navtraffic with sirius however you will still need to purchase the gex-p10xmt reciever and pay I think its 9.99 per month (without the xm radio subscription). Not really worth it if you ask me unless you are willing to switch over to xm. Dan
  22. I noticed a sensor or some kind of oval cover on the right side of the cd slot. I am just curious what it is for. I know the d3 doesn't support a wireless remote so its not that but what is it??? Dan
  23. So far I haven't really gotten to use navtraffic much, I was driving around yesterday and it showed some green lines on the highway I'm guessing it meant it wasn't busy. I need to read my manuals to really figure it out. I'm considering putting some little pieces of velcro on the trim around the radio and sticking a black piece of felt over it. I also tinted the side windows 35% (legal limit) so that helps. Dan
  24. Mine autoconnects to my sprint samsung M500 phone. However it will not import my phone book. It would of been nice but I don't mind because I can usually recognize who is calling me by thier number. Dan
  25. You ordered exactly what I did except for the steering wheel controller. I ordered mine on the 28th though before they offered the discounts but after a call to customer service the other day I am enjoying the same awesome discounts! Dan
