This is the update I use and works pretty God. Will share in till it gets overwhelmed. Http:/1dev.ms/1HoVUnK Goimg :'( to take a while to zip up. Have it named FX3.zip
  2. It's really to bad as it seems the days of file sharing are over here. I do miss the days..... If I end up ordering it from that ebay guy I will gladly share here. After all, none of the software is his either. I do understand though the fact he put it all together but that's what THIS community used to do.
  3. I am getting this error consistently, any ideas? I am trying to reapply the FX3.1 update which I did a year or so ago without issue. Headunit started reboot circle so figured this would fix it, but...........Am doing the wince update as well so everything should be fresh on there.
  4. How did you update to the 5000? Any links would be appreciated. (unless I missed them here somewhere.
  5. Yes, a complete update is long overdue. Maybe I'll get cracking on it. Thanks for the link.
  6. Do the FX3.1 update, does CE and Flash. Might just do it. Don't see how it could hurt.

  8. I would start with a CE update and flash to a good working flash. Mine just freaked out and I used FX3.1. It is available via torrent, http://thepiratebay.sx/torrent/5546342. Follow the following instructions: Unrar file, put all files on an SD card with a min. 2gb size. (Root) You should end up with two folders, testmode and My Flash Disk, plus a few ce files. Insert card into Avic. Turn on unit and immediately hold the menu, map, eject and reset buttons. When screen goes black or stays black, release reset button while still holding other three. This takes you to CE update. Using t
  9. Ive got the WinCE update here somewhere, will post a link as soon as I seed it.
  10. Geez, luckily I have archives of a ton of the original fix/upgrade and mod files. Guess I should start seeding them all again. No offense CC but these forums were NOT designed as a "Service Selling" portal.
  11. As mentioned above, MSN is nested in the sftware but do not see any of the MSN files. I use the often. Anyway to add it in to another update?
  12. I'm assuming you activated your MSN via website or phone. Did you verify MSN Direct is available in your area? Know anyone else with it that receives it ok? Your antenna is also the MSN antenna. Usually no problem unless you have the HD Radio module. In this case, you need to use an antenna splitter to provide antenna to HD and antenna to the head unit for MSN (Or use a 2nd antenna). All I can think of at the moment.
  13. Some vehicles use a thermal breaker as opposed to a fuse for the Cig lighter power. Sounds like your unit is drawing a tad much for it and tripping it. It will reset on t's own, but quite inconvenient. Change to a good power source.
  14. I had the same problem. But don't think it was the same problem as you said you completely deleted your flashdisc. I did not and had old schemes. Very bad things....
  15. Where would one locate the dual end USB to mini USB? I can only find them with the large ends.
  16. Wouldn't boot into test mode, started truck and first try went into test mode. Deleted gps* files and restored Data.zip to OEM, boots fine now.... Will reinstall modded Data.zip tomorrow and see what happens.
  17. Damn, Mine just started the reboot problem. By what I have gathered, my problem may be fixed with the file delete fix, as I am doing a constant reboot at splash screen, not every 5 minutes, or whatever. My head unit is sitting out in the driveway (in truck of course), SD card with Test Mode files installd, and doing it's constant reboot in hopes it gets to the point where it will enter testmode. Mine would reboot over and over, and twice in 2 days, it actually rebooted to a user interface. I would have to guess at least 50 tries before it got there. Will let you know if it works.
  18. MSN Direct works dead-on in my area on my Garmin, but sucks royal on the Pioneer F90BT
  19. Everyone has their own opinion so here is mine since you're asking for them. The D3 was great by all means, but the F series is by far superior in technology. Sure, no XM traffic but MSNDirect traffic has better, or more widespread coverage. X.Mm traffic is $12 or so/month, MSNDirect is $124.00/Lifetime. F-Series has built in blue tooth, and the F90BT even includes an Ipod cable. Nav is internal flash memory as opposed to swapping discs continuously. Version 2.0 really speeds up the F series. I know there is more, just all I can think of at the moment. After checking out a friend's F90BT fo
