Ok here is my situation any advise would be appreciated in advance.Well the unit was giving me the pioneer logo then the black screen continuasly so i called pioneer they told me go to their website download the new software and i sholud be good. Turns out im not now the unit boots and gets stuck on the pioneer screen about 30 seconds later if I push either the menu or the map key it takes me to the main screen but no functions work.   3. it sounds to me you 12volt wire is either unpluged or the fuse popped

  5. are they based out of valencia cal if they are you should be fine as long as you have all original packaging it came with if not you might have a tough time
  6. i dont know if anyone has tryed this yet but it seem to work for me i put a computer fan in the back on my radio blowing out of the radio and have not had the problem since the reason i used a computer fan is i can hook it up directly to my acc. wire vs. the pioneer fan turns on at a certan temperature i think well anyways a 120 inch fan worked for me

    well you bought to much for you to handle kit seems like i agree with the guy above if you want another unit go with the kenwood its simple and the gps on it is made by garmen you should be familiar with the interface on the gps part also your factory unit you cant even use it til you read all the warning labels on it atleast the pioneer you can still use your stereo without having to press the ok button sorry guy it just seems to me your being alittle anal about the situation keep reading the forum about acouple things then go to your nearest local shop and tell them to bypass the unit then y
  8. welll if a shop fabricates one it could be expensive 60 to 80 bucks but im telling you if you look for an american international kit all you have to do is buy a new kit and done
  9. CHECK to make sure the guy had a metra kit cuz all the metra kits ive used suck look at the american international kits they seem to work better for me

  13. hey itl2007 i have been working on those same lines i found that if you delete those lines off the z2 when the z2 boots it says unknown application and it stays on the black screen then i tried to replace those lines whith the z1 in the same file same number line and it did the same but if you compare the 2 files from the z1 to the z2 and you will notice that the statechangebypkbstatus and all the other lines you were looking at are in the z1 file aswell just in a different line this is what i have noticed i worked hard on the bypass for about a month then i got tired of playing with it and n
  14. i tryed to switch the files you are talking about and my z2 will not boot after i switch the files it gives you a application not availabe screen but if anyone has a working ftp site i will give you an image of my z2 drive just message me
  15. well evey dll file i tried to replace on the z2 harddrive wit the z1 prevents the z2 from booting so i gotta find exactly what dll file is responsible for the bypass then play with the script on that 1 file to get it to work but i have been working by myself on this and theres alot of files that look to be the bypass but still cant get ti to work but we will find it one way or another and also on a side note i am a local shop owner and let me tell you the kenwood your looking at suck compared to the z2 just be patient and the bypass will come
