if you are going to take the unit out and do the 2 wire bypass might as well take it out as long as you arre in there.

stock Z2 only updated the gracenote database.

I would imagine it takes up a huge amount of dics space! I have only seen it in downtown Chicago.

I installed that gracenote update when it first came out and I had no problem at all with the update not 1 retry! I would try downloading it again on a different computer.

I just installed it on my Z2 and it installed just fine.

Worked like a charm for me, big kudos to hyperite & ducatiboy for all of thier efforts! I can now go back to my Z2 the differences might be small but I missed them. Thanks guys.

This is the Z1/2 section for which there is no security code.

You would not lose your music that is stored on the hard drive. You will only lose your preset staions.

this is true I got a new drive and a Z1 image and stored away my Z2 drive until the bypass is out.

VSS= vehicle speed sensor it helps with accuracy especially when there is no gps signal i.e. in a tunnel or a very dense tree lined road. it works with the internal gyros to keep your location updated on the map.

I believe they all would work. The 5700 would be the easiest, the other two need to be modified if memory serves me corect. Good luck finding any.
