  1. .... well normally they are US versions (unless otherwise stated). This one has it http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/27807-fx31-complete-firmware-image/page-55 this works on the F700, F900, X710, x910... and a couple of others.
  2. yup sounds like the camera is on the way out. That camera looks like it would work. I have a 3rd party camera on mine, i ran power to the 12v feed that the radio uses (because my camera barely uses any).
  3. The US firmwares are here. 3.x in my opinion should have been v1.0. It was the first most stable firmware for these units. My f700bt stopped crashing and was faster with the 3.x firmware. 4.0 has updated maps and a couple more features/bugs fixes.

    F910BT update

    usually it updates firmware/maps.
  5. maybe try this thread http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/27807-fx31-complete-firmware-image/page-1
  6. uuhh in not sure if you can just skip over 3 ... i wouldnt just to be safe. yours uses the same software as the F700,F900,X710,X910 theres a couple more that i know im missing. X920 software and higher wont work on the F700
  7. ah ok your still on firmware 2.x, when i had my 700 with the 2.x firmware it was constantly reboot and it was slower. you need the 3.x firmware the question is it still available on here. My laptop is just about out of power. I'll see if i can find some links tomorrow.
  8. step one find out what firmware version you have and what map version. Settings>System settings>Service Menu. page 138 of your manual. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/StaticFiles/Manuals/Navigation/AVIC-F700BT_OperationManual0606.pdf
  9. do you know if you are currently running the 2.x firmware on your unit? 3.x or higher is the way to go. I've nothing but problems on the 2.x firmware. you can either buy the map upgrade from pioneer (which will upgrade your firmware on your unit) or maybe find someone who is semi computer savvy to help you with the torrent upgrade.
  10. i've bought parts from http://www.pacparts.com/model.cfm? when i couldn't find any parts from e-bay.
  11. step1: find the location where you want to mount the camera and mount it. Step2:running the cables from the back to the front. I had to use a coat hanger with a closed hook at the end of it to get the cables from the tailgate to the main body frame. This step takes the most amount of time. Step 3: I had the camera draw power from the "red cable" on the pioneer head unit. The camera uses very little power and you dont want to hook it up to the yellow +12V that line is constantly on. I used the blak cable on the pioneer for the ground for the camera. step4: plug in the video cable from the c
  12. No night vision on that camera, you can kind of see the image with assistance from the reverse lights.
  13. not that difficult. it was only $24. I was thinking of getting some touch up paint to camouflage it.
  14. yup you have v3 already. Make sure you have at least a 4gb SD card and copy the diaftia files on it. You can use the Diaftia mod to boot into windows ce (do not allow the installer do the diaftia mod yet). Exit out of the diaftia installer screen. You will see "computer" or "my computer" on the desktop, open it. Find the icon for the 2gb internal storage of the AVIC and double click it. Go to the "Edit" menu and select "select all". Got back to "edit" menu and select "Copy" (DO NOT SELECT CUT). go back to "my computer" find your SD card icon and double click it.Make a new folder and name it b
  15. yes it is possible to upgrade to 3 but i want to make sure what firmware you have first. go to your unit right now and find out. btw found the testmode.zip for the 2.x firmware http://avic411.com/i...attach_id=10549 1 - unzip the contents of that attachment 2 - Put the two folders contained in that attachment on an SD card. 3 - Put the SD card in the unit and turn it on 4 - Once it has finished the "copying" close the copying window by clicking the X 5 - You have now booted the unit to windows mode.
  16. i hope you are a little tech savvy because this stuff can get a little bit tricky. last thing you want to do is brick your unit and not understand on how to fix it. im guessing you have the 2.X firmware? First you need to find the original "testmode.zip" to get you into the windows CE desktop to do a backup of your unit before you do anything (all the links for that file here look like they are dead i'll try to find a working one). The testmode2.3 will not work with the 2.X firmware.
  17. If you upgrade it to version 3.X or higher it should go away (regardless of the "reboot loop fix"). If some strange reason it does continue to reboot after the upgrade, do complete wipe and restore of the unit (the step by step directions are on the forum).
  18. what firmware do you have on the F900BT? Mine use to do that with the v2.x.
  19. Not that im aware of :-\... on the older models there use to be a actual "reset" button but i dont see that on your model
  20. ios 5 and greater will do that to your x910bt. Unfortunately there's no fix for it and i doubt there will ever be.
  21. page 94 of your manual goto AV settings>AV input 1 change AV input 1 to ipod
