WRONG, I only use 7z for my image.res file, for Data.zip, I use winrar. This is the program that I have always used, and it works like a champ.

The UI IS NOT in Russian! However, I can't see it being incorporated into our mods. The UI is really weird. Our mods are incorporated into the Data.zip for a direct change. In this mod, the original Data.zip is untouched and stock. All the scripts, icons, bmps, etc. are done in UI and subfolders outside of the Data.zip which are found in the IGO folder and a 'System' folder in 'MyFlashDisk' which overrides the original UI. This is entirely different than what we are doing here. I am still trying to understand this process

I have done this before with my iphone when it couldnt connect to the Avic. I would reset it and then, all is fine, it would connect instantly. It wouldn't hurt to try it

This is very easy to do! The problem is that the maps have to be read from an SD card because of the Avics limited space. i have incorporated the Garmin mod and the TomTom mod in the system, but I had a problem loading the maps either because of 1)-Wrong maps or 2)-wrong placement of the maps. Either way, I concluded that the maps and interface wasn't as good as the Igo 8.3, so I didnt continue with it. If someone can find me working maps, I may give it another try

Thank you, those are words that I am always glad to hear. Automatically when I am in my vehicle, I search for improvements and changes, so as long as I have an Avic, I will continue to be modding. I am really impressed with Chuck, hopefully he will keep at it, as it is very easy to get burned out doing this. I know, I myself almost threw in the towel a couple of times if it wasn't for the support of a lot of members here, which is what kept me going

I have now made it so that scrolling is capable, fully, even in 2D mode. Thanks for pointing this out to me as I never use 2D, but you are right, for scrolling it is definately better. Another thing that I have worked on was to change the 'QuickMenu' to limit it's view for map scrolling/panning in 2D mode as well as 3D mode. This has now been done!Again, to bring up the 'QuickMenu', you just long-click the 'Menu' button regardless whether you are in route or not.. New 'QuickMenu' for better Map Scrolling/Panning

Yes, it is the 'Igo' folder in the user data that has to be deleted. Let me know if you can get it back up again, if not, PM me and I will send the original UserData file as I have a backup and this should bring it back up

Reboots are software issues! The Avic is looking for a file, it can't find it and it then reboots itself. This sometimes happens when a firmware has been upgraded and previous mods were still on the system, or this can happen with a corrupt firmware file. I would try to reinstall the firmware and if that does not work, there is an all-in-one firmware package 3.1 in the Hacks/Mods section

It would really help if you told us everything that you have done to it. Did you update it to V3.0? What firmware did you use? What mods do you have installed? The reason that this is important is that this is a software issue, and that is the area that has to be looked at.

Yes, I have done that in the UK version by pressing the speed limit sign. It was something that was requested for the UK version, so it was easy to do. I will see about putting a shortcut somewhere in the next update if it is something that people will use

Here are some sneak pics for what is coming next. I have put in some more functionality into the 'SplitScreen' and the 'Speedometer'. In the 'SplitScreen, I have added some icons at the bottom giving more fuctionality. I have also added a NEW 'Tripcomputer' to the splitscreen which is activated by the bottom button. The 'Speedometer' , now has a trip computer combined in the application so you do not have to leave the screen to view your trip data. I personally find that they are useless for the Avic. A movable device is more prone to get scratches so a screen protector is a benefit for them, but the Avic is stationary with just fingers accessing it, so unless you have claws, your Avic should be scratch free. If it is any consolation, I have had two Avics without a screen protector, and neither has a scratch on it.

This cannot be done, as unfortunately, we do not have access to the UI of the Main/AV section of the AVIC. We can change the icon, but not the script that follows

Yes, except my V4 is a lot more compact than my V2.75, so it is not that much of a convenience, and actually in 3d mode with 90degree tilt, it is not in the way at all

Chuck, for colors of the sign posts, you have to try them out as they are a LOT lighter in reality as they are by the RGB chart. Trust me, I know as I use the RGB chart when creating colors for my schemes

The speed camera was just carried over from Diaftias mod. I am sure it worked for his as there were no complaints about it, that I was aware of. I cannot test the speed cameras as we don't have them here, so it is a feature that is irrelevant here. That is why I haven't touched that part of the mod at all. J

Actually, it was enabled by longclicking the 'time'. When this is enabled, you can scroll the entire map in 3D mode
