  1. I updated to 8.1 jailbroken and it's still there. You folks with jailbroken phones, are you running FolderEnhancer or Iconoclasm? Those are the two Cydia apps I'm using that effect layout.
  2. I'll have to check the wife's phone to see if it carries over. She has a 6 running 8.1, while I have a 5 running 7.1.2.
  3. So now that more apps are coming out with Carplay compatability, I have more than 8 icons. Instead of having a scroll arrow or a way to swipe to the next page, I get this: That's the top of IHeartRadio. I can't scroll to it, or access it. With Stitcher coming out today it's only going to get worse. Does anyone know how to get scrolling working? EDIT: my phone is jailbroken, hence the BiteSMS instead of Messages.
  4. Did hooking up your antenna amp wire to switched power solve the problem? i'm having the same problem with my Subaru, poor FM and AM reception with my 4000NEX. UPDATE: connecting my blue power amp wire to switched power solved my problem.
  5. I'm trying to make this decision myself. I wish Alpine would release more info about the ILX-007. I'm leaning towards the SPH-DA120, since I don't need a disc player. But, waiting on the ILX-007 is tempting.
  6. works fine for me using an Lightning to 30 pin adapter.
  7. I tested my new received Lightning to 30 pin connector today with my iPhone 5 on my 700bt using the Apple AV composite cable. Charging works, audio works, Avic control of the iPod functions work and Stitcher works. I didn't try video since the fine print on the adapter says it doesn't work.
  8. anyone else know if this is touchscreen dying issue?
  9. anyone? I really want to fix it but I don't want to throw parts at it.
  10. For a few months now, the screen on my 700BT in my truck has become less and less responsive to touching. Sometimes I have to press extremely hard, and sometimes I have to press repeatedly to select things on the screen, and when scrolling it'll hang up and instead of scrolling one screen it'll scroll all the way down to the Z entries. I'm starting to think the screen is losing it's ability to read being touched. I've tried recalibrating it, and that didn't help. It seems to be worse in hot weather. Any ideas on how to fix this? Or am I looking at having to replace the touchscreen or the e
  11. thanks, worked with no problems grounding to the chassis and not the radio ground.
  12. well, I have to report that using the cable I linked above, along with the Apple AV cable and the extra power end plugged into a 12v to 5v cigarette adapter, it does reliably charge my 3GS and does not interfere with the 700bt seeing or controlling the iPhone, and presumably any other iPod that would get plugged into it. I also tested it with my Pioneer cable, and it charges and operates just fine too. Now to tuck all that extra wiring back into the dash.
  13. my iPhone 4 charges with no issues on my f700 and the Apple composite AV cable, whereas my 3GS didn't charge reliably.
  14. I've been using the Pioneer CD-IU230V cable, and recently switched to an Apple Composite AV cable. Neither charge reliably. The phone will report that it's charging about once in every ten connects. All the other times, the iPhone reports that it isn't charging, but the battery level indicator doesn't get lower, and it doesn't rise either.
  15. I was wondering if anyone has tried one of these in an attempt to charge the 3GS off of a 700bt. I would assume you could plug the charge USB lead to a 12v to 5v adapter, and put the other one inline between the head unit cable and the ipod cable. http://www.shopaddonics.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=AA2USBPC
  16. worked perfectly with my 700. seems snappier now too. thanks!
  17. Well, I took a chance, and bought an official Apple cable (MB129LL/B). I now am able to charge my 3GS reliably. The generic cable I bought off of ebay wouldn't charge, and the Pioneer cable is at best unreliable for charging and stable connections.
  18. Does the Apple cable charge the 3GS more reliably than the Pioneer cable? I can only get the Pioneer to charge about 1 in 20 connections, and the Scosche adapter I've been using makes the connection very unreliable.
  19. you have to do both. USB into the plug, and the component connectors into the back of the unit.
  20. Like others in the main 3.0 thread, I had a problem with the upgrade after uncompressing AVIC_X-Series_Firmware_Update-1.zip on my Mac and then copying it to an SD card from my Mac. When I uncompressed and copied it on a Windows machine, it worked just fine. Other than that, it worked fine.
  21. I had the problem with my first gen iPhone, and still have it with my 3GS iPhone. My wife's iPod Nano (a 3rd gen) doesn't have this problem. My artwork looks fine in iTunes and in coverflow on the iPhone. If someone wants to see pictures of my pixellation I'll take some.
  22. which harness, the speaker/power harness or the RCA harness? Pioneer has them for around $40 each. http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/mod ... VIC-F700BT
