It seems like when I updated to FW 1.08, the problem with the keyboard started. I did not have any problems before that time. I have dealt Pioneer in the past and that is thier standard response everytime something is not working. Jim

Did not fixed the problem. I also did a hard reboot by taking the fuse out for the HU but no luck.

I had the same problem the other day. It would be ok and then the map would locked up and then work again. Never had this problem util after doing both updates. Not sure if it is related to that. Jimbo

Pioneer told my to do a system reset under settings. I will let you know if this fixed the problem.

I have had the same problem with the keyboard after doing both updates. I will contact Pioneer for the same problem today. Jimbo

I am getting the message (Incompatible USB cable). But the funny thing is the AppRadio still works when I switched to Digital AV. I switched to a different Lighting cable that I know works and same message. Do I need to change out the USB cable on USB 1. USB2 and USB1 works fine when I change the settings to USB instead of Digital AV. Your thoughts? Jimbo

I just upgraded from Avic 950 to 8000 Nex and the power wiring harness I used from the 950 worked.

$980 for the Nex 8000 thru Amazon. Havent got it yet but am excited to have it installed.

You are welcome! I spent hours trying to fix the problem including deleting and reinstalling all the files. Great job figuring it out! I did have the no nag on there but i cleared it out before sending off the 940 to you. Now I got the x-950 and I can't do anything even with the testmode! Thanks Jimbo

I am going from x-940 to x-950 and the power harness is different. I can still use the same rearview camera and XM tuner. So i hoe that answer this for you

I did the firmware upgrade and I screwed up. I tried doing it again and I get an error message at about the 30% saying (Upgrade failed) Anybody know how I can do the firmware upgrade again? It says my application is 4.6 and ucom is 8.05 whiwch means most of it was upgraded. I need to do it again because my nav screen is orange and it has something to do with the new backup image that is dark and there are 3 colors of lines showing (red, Orange and yellow) when I go into reverse mode from NAv to backup that shows for a split second and same thing when i go from reverse to forward. Any help w

Hi all: I was messing around with my x-940 and decided to updgrade to 4.6. When everything was done, I open my navagation and I have orange background on the map screen!!! I then tried to run 4.6 and 5.1 from Pioneer wedsite and I get error message at about 30% complete. I think due to already upgraded to 8.05 com. I used micro SD to do the up grade. I deleted everything and re-installed my PRG0 and PRG1 and Nand2 but still get the orange screen on map. Any ideas out there to how to fix this? Thanks Jimbo

I finally got it working. I added the english files to both Voices and Lang folders under content. The license is $50 and you pay via PayPal. You need to PM Sanik to order the license and then he will send you the links to download Pioneerus and also IGO8.3 which as the content folder you need to install under the Pioneerus folder. You will also have to add the maps also under the Content folder. Since I just got it working, I will know tomorrow if the maps works. I may need to find the right maps to make it work. Thanks Jimbo

So are you saying that I need to have the sd disk with Pioneerus folder and contents in order to run it? I did get to the grey screen with russian language on it but it did not start up. I will copy Pioneer dirtory on sd disk to see if it will start up. I will let you know what happens. Jimbo

Here is what i did. I got the license and installed in in the Pioneerus directory on the Unit. Then I copied IGO 8 files into the Pioneerus folder including the license and maps. Still nothing comes up when I press the next track key that is supose to bring up the menu for Pioneerus. nothing shows up. Any other ideas? Thanks Jimbo

Still don't have it working. I ended up reintalling my Prg0 and Prg1. If i can get step by step in order to install Pioneerus that would be great. Jimbo

Hi There: I am having trouble installing Pioneerus. I did the original first install and forward the did file for the license. I got the license. I tinstalled the license but I only have the directory of Pioneer with only the license inside the directory and nothing else. Ralphharn: Can you give me step by step how to finish installing the licensed Pioneerus. I got an error message so I had to reinstall Prg0 and Prog1 to get it operating again. I did get directions from Sanik but it seems like it is a little vague on installing the program. Thanks Jimbo

I have my 940 bypassed and I have nos issues. It works fine.

It is all fixed. I copied my original backup PRG0 and PRG1 to the HU using the Super testmode. After I was done copying over, it was still looping (starting up and rebooting). So I pulled the fuse for the radio and then put back in and viola the HU is back working fine. I put Condi Hack 2.2 back on and that worked fine also. Thanks to Teddmod for having me look further on how to use the super "Testmode". Boy I just love screwing things up and then trying to figure it out again how to get the unit working!!!!!

I understand now. I was able to copy the files over. I will check to make sure all the files are in PRGO and PRG1. Right now it is looping to rebooting after a few seconds. I will report next what happens after I know all the files were copied over. Thanks Jimbo
