Respect lads Also would like to mention that my unit is the US one not EU EDIT: After accessing testmode "My Flash Disk" got somehow corrupted for some reason. I only had there 3 files and a folder. One file had three squares instead of the name .In properties it said that Flash Disk is 1.59 gb, but those files and a folder were like 584kb all together. Did format again and copied the Flash Disk. Works again, so

Yes And also EU dvds wont play on US unit due to different regions, unless you burn them yourself to region free

Well you can modify all your boot up images that are in the unit to say something like that

You can send that £50 to me if you like Basically if you want to watch dvds on it you need to burn them "region free" or just rip em to divx and burn few on one disc For the maps- download testmode.zip and extract the contents to empty 2GB SD card, put the card in the unit, switch on ignition and allow unit to boot, some files will copy, close the window that says OK and you are in. Back up all the contents of the flash disk to the SD card FIRST!!! and then after downloading the ezrider.exe and license file copy them to the appropriate folders in APL2/iGO . The radio will work ok but it still wont tune properly. I have EU update on mine it basically didn't add or remove anything.

Ethan, The radio cannot be fixed afaik and you wont be able to change the drive region. Only burning your doovdes region free will work I'm afraid. I knew that before I bought mine and I don't listen to the radio and burn my own doovdes I also tried to see if I could somehow change the region etc. I presume the f90bt has the same maps as f900bt. You just need to access the unit by using the testmode trick and copy couple of appropriate files to appropriate folders and happy days . Hi Graham, I have the F900BT unit from the US and using it in Ireland with the EU maps so yes it is possible. You just need to download the hacked ezrider.exe file and also you need a license file that will allow you to use the maps. All these can be found in the forum, if you cant find it let me know and I'll send you those files. HTH, stm

7zip is better Just rename it to image.7z and extract the content when you done, zip it up with 7zip and rename back to image .res Job done

It looks to me like the ipod isn't supporting the 640x480 resolution but I read somewhere it should Its a pain really because I used to play my vids from the hdd on my old navi system no prob in any format. And now this is wrecking my head

The only way I want my vids to work are thru the ipod classic 120gb I have, so far every time I convert the vid to 640x480.mp4 it shows some type of stripes while playing the file for some reason, like ipod was squashing the vid to make it fit or something?!? lol .. ..sad really

Standard 2GB, tried in avi and mp4 format and both played in rubbish quality even when they were in 640x480 resolution What other formats the unit will play? I have about 2000 vids that I have to fit into ipod/hdd . Cheers, Stan

Hey folks, Would like to know what is best working video resolution for F series? In the manual it says 640x480 but when I tried to play it from SD card the video was struggling a bit, the time was jumping etc.. Unless its my SD card but that was just to test it. Normally I would play the videos from ipod in mp4 format, but the ones I have already on it are too small resolution and video quality isn't that good. I've been trying to change the font of the street names (cities) that are on the map, but having bit trouble doing so. When you upload any font and name it tahoma ; tahomabd it will change but it will also change the navi menu font and everything else on the map screen . I managed to change street names etc. but not on the map, just on top/bottom bars that are around it. I've been trying to find a script responsible for it, but it seems that I'm missing it or its hidden somewhere. Would anyone have any info about that? Its driving me nuts, lol! Cheers, Stan
