European firmware NO Maps YES Hth

When I tried to play anything other than mp4 I was getting no video or nothing at all. some avi files would play but kinda in slow mo. Try to convert few vids to mp4 and give it a try.

For 3.0 firmware you need testmode 2.3 which doesnt have MiTACAP folder. Extract the contents to your SD card that it looks like MY SD CARD/testmode/(around 12 files + Utils folder) and your are flying chief Hope that helps, Stan

I noticed that if I play them from USB/SD in smaller resolution than 640x480 it seems that the unit doesn't automatically fit them to screen.

If that's true than its c**p really, because people who have US units in Europe wont be able to use it then?

I played both avi & mpeg4 off the SD/USB and both were rubbish The video was playing in slow mo and, only audio was fine. avi files seem freeze/stop as well. So far the best results I got playing videos off the ipod but that isn't perfect either. Im not happy with with video quality to be honest, all tho they look perfect playing on my iMac. Must burn few files on dvdr/cdr and see how it works.

diaftia- Mine didn't work (was crashing etc) because I forgot that I added another font which I forgot to copy over together with my data.zip. Make sure all the additional files that you had used in your custom data.zip are also copied over. As Boris mentioned earlier use only one map with the emulator (the one you know worked fine in your unit for example together with ezrider, and license file)

/\that's right. I used hacked ezrider with the license that works on my unit with new map and I also switched the language file to English. Otherwise you will have menu in Ukrainian language

I got mine to work Just one question : is it possible to simulate the route or anything? I would like to change few things in direction/distance color but cant see those due to not having gps signal

Hi folks, I want to get rid of that awful background that the clock has on navi screen, so I know that the line responsible for it is found in navigatemap_800_480.ui <---If I remove this line from it, would it make the clock appear without it? Thanks for any info

Actually no, I didn't. I just replaced the voice files with the ones I wanted. Very simple really If you need any help just let me know

I modified my 3 existing voices us,spa and fra, so instead of jason I have the uk lady talking and instead of spanish and french I have polish voices shouting at me

Is that Flash Disk from US unit? in step 2 ---> you could use all of these from Tomola's EU Flash he posted? I have EU 3.0 ON US unit at the moment, but would like to grab official update for US units if possible. Regards, Stan
