  1. Backup files can be found on the SD card you used to create them Third sentence from the OP Anyhow, have you tried updating the Bluetooth Firmware found on the Pioneer page: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... 00BT?tab=F
  2. Check out this thread: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25817 I posted the files you may need on Page 15.
  3. This thread helped me out when my unit wouldn't display the splash screen/boot, I was still able to enter the service menu though: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=25465 The only thing is, the file referenced is for MSN Direct versions, let me know if you need the version without MSN Direct.
  4. That wouldn't happen here in Texas. We shoot first, make sure they are dead so they can't sue us, then ask questions Thats just how it is down here in Texas YALL... Florida too =D Glad we finally got the Castle Doctrine down here.
  5. This thread just restored a "bricked" F700BT for me, however it is showing MSN Direct as being available, I don't have it plugged in to verify it works or not though and would doubt it would. Has anyone else experienced this?
  6. Both files are still up and running from what I can see, what error are you getting? Anyone else having this issue?
  7. Couldn't tell ya, but you might want to create your own thread on that subject...
  8. That would be correct. Just to be clear, I recommend following the directions in the following thread: http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25817 I used that to install the update on my F700BT. I'm not sure how you would go about backing up the WINCE images, but if you copy the testmode folder to the root of the SD Card, this will boot you into test mode where you can create a copy of your existing "My Flash Disk" drive on the AVIC unit.
  9. Just to follow up, the user who thought they bricked their unit is up and running on 3.0 finally...they are still working on the nav voices though. The issue they had was copying the entire contents of the SD card to the "My Flash Disk" drive, you should only copy the contents of the "My Flash Disk" folder on the SD card to the "My Flash Disk" drive.
  10. So far approximately 140 downloads with only 1 reported issue, and I think that may be cleared up...waiting on the person to respond. In Step 11 of the OP's post, be sure your copying the contents of the "My Flash Disk" folder on the SD Card to the "My Flash Disk" drive on your unit, do not copy the entire contents of the SD Card to your AVIC Unit. Also, disregard step 12 of the OPs directions. I used the instructions posted here without an issue: http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25817
  11. Here's the thread I mentioned, thankfully it was still in my FTP Quickconnect history because my searches were turning up empty: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=24888 Also, here's a thread I encountered that may help with your issue: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=23760&start=0
  12. I followed the instructions in this thread with no issues, just skip the parts that mention swapping out SD Cards: http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25817 So far there have approximately 140 downloads with only 1 reported issue, I would hope that others would have spoken up by now? Okay. SD 1: WINCEIMG.BIN & WINCEIMG.CKS - 17.8MB (Copy just the 2 files from the update on the card) (Use the WinCE files from the X-Series Update. Files are in the PLT folder) Link: http://ds1.downloadtech.net/cn1010/firm ... Update.zip SD 2: TestMode 2.3 - 1.65MB ( Must be in
  13. Here's the US version of that site: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... onUpgrades
  14. I followed the instructions in this thread with no issues, just skip the parts that mention swapping out SD Cards: http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25817 [edit]Just to mention, I didn't hear the pop in my speakers or the loading of the CD Drive that was mentioned, but following the steps got me to the right place anyhow =D[/edit] So far there have approximately 140 downloads with only 1 reported issue, I would hope that others would have spoken up by now?
  15. Don't know if it helps, but I used this thread to complete my install: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25817 The only things I noticed is that I didn't hear the pop in my speakers described in step 4.2, and I didn't hear the CD Drive load in step 4.3, holding all 3 buttons did get me to the screen described/pictured in step 4.3 though... Have you tried going through the process again? Are you able to get into testmode at all? I remember seeing a site that had some backup files on an ftp server, i'll see if I can dig it up again just in case.
  16. Is this unit still available? $75 plus shipping?
  17. As promised, with about 15 minutes to spare: Here is everything you need in order to complete the upgrade as outlined in the original post, but with only 1 SD Card. I just recently picked up a F700BT that I updated this afternoon and love it...now I'm off to find some good mods =D http://www.megaupload.com/?d=K0WJSCUR http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XDPTH67G These files include the X Series WINCE Upgrade, Testmode 2.3 and the Backup Files/Maps. Hope this helps others who may be having problems finding torrents and etc... [edit]In Step 11, please copy the contents of the "My Fla
