no problems here with my scion tC/d3/pac swi ps

- "menu" button needs to work - better search on my ipod (would be perfect if I could search my ipod like it is with POI search) - Album art - visualization (trippy colors ftw) - direct selection for videos of ipod - easier browsing of mp3/divx cd/dvd like a file browser - support for more video files like .mpg i dont have fancy xm/sirius/bt so I can't really say much on that end and havnt used my navigation enough to say (gas is too expensive nowadays blah)

nice more scion ones to use :)

i never owned a d1/d2 but I am guessing its the same thing as previous models

yeah im running stock and sound much better than what stock head unit. and I am using PAC SWI PS with mine. It works fine but pressing the buttons doesn't instantly respond. Seems like you gotta hold the button a second for it to respond.

For my 06 .. i found the easiest location was using the HVAC controls. Tap into the orange wire pin 14th from the left looking at it from the top.

not if you wanna play videos off the ipod as you must select the videos through ipod itself. music mode will allow you to control the ipod through HU itself. quality looks decent.. even better when the video is at 640x480

easiest and best way is to get avox jukebox which is a portable hd that can play a bunch of multimedia files and has a nice interface. Bunch of reviews on google. but if u want to play them through say cd/dvd. Either convert them to DVD mpeg 2 format and make a DVD video. Or convert them to divx format and store them all in cd or dvd.

D3 has its own interface with arrows in all directions and an enter button. User the arrows to navigate and select what u want and press enter. Takes a bit to get use to.

best thing I would recommend is a device like the Avox Jukebox

got my Pac Swi PS installed. Does your take a like a second for the button to register that its been pressed? Like mine use to be instant but now I gotta hold the button down for like a second.

yes the photo slideshow will play on d3

video by mannyman - its quick with no delay to startup - great interface - easy to browse - kinda hard if you have lots of artist to get to the x,y,z artist - menu button bug - can't select videos directly through head unit - no album art I don't mind the small things i love the ipod interface

technically you don't need a wiring harness but its much easier with a wiring harness and you don't need to mess with stock harness. You can not use the scion ipod directipod cable as it's completely different to the d3's. As for steering wheel controls, you will need to order the Pac-Swi-PS. Turn caps lock off also

my pioneer dvr-111d has bitsettings to dvd-rom by default

i used imgburn which is free and worked great
