  1. I use the Pioneer wireless steering wheel remote for my D3 for volume/track/source/mute features. Does this remote (or any remote for that matter) work on the 90/900BT?
  2. I have mine mounted in the 9 o'clock position on my steering wheel and it works fairly well. It tends to work better during the day and when I'm wearing a light-colored shirt (the signal bounces off my shirt to the D3). FYI, the infrared port is located on the bottom of the SR-11 remote, not the top. Holding it directly to the D3 won't be effective if the top part of the remote is facing the D3. Oh, and another thing: the SR-11 wasn't made for the D3 so it's not going to work perfectly. As far as I know there isn't a steering wheel remote made to work directly with the D3 thusfar.
  3. I've had my D3 and my Pioneer GEXP920XM unit for about a month now. I feed the XM unit with a separate power cable connected directly to the battery. That power cable has a 25amp in-line fuse. The XM unit also came with a 2amp in-line fuse. All was working good for a month and then all of a sudden my XM stopped working. I found out that my 25amp fuse was blown. The little 2 amp fuse was fine. I replaced the 25amp fuse and that blew within minutes. I then replaced that with a 30amp fuse and that blew as well. The 2 amp fuse remains fully intact. What the hell is causing this? And why w
  4. Who cares what your friend says potentially sounds good or not? Sound is subjective. It's your car. They're your ears. Set it up the way you want. Don't be your friend's little bitch.
  5. If you plug in the red/white/yellow cables from the PS2 into the AV2 audio/video inputs and then plug the PS2 into an inverter it will work. The difficulty depends on how "clean" you want the install to look afterwords.
  6. Ummmm...I wouldn't leave it at that. They owe you bigtime for the major inconvenience.
  7. It's still using the data it picked up with the internal gyros thusfar. Even at 50% learning and without the VSS the unit is still accurate. The VSS just adds to the potential accuracy of the system. Now if you used the same sentence above but used 0% instead of 50% I would be impressed.

    GPS antena

I have a 2002 Blazer and I put my gps antenna under the dash. I just stuck the magnetic plate upside down under the dash and then stuck the gps antenna to that. I get a good signal there and it's hidden. Here is my post on my install. http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6059
  9. I wasn't referring to the gaps. I was referring to the friggin chew marks at the top of the dash opening. I have a 2002 Blazer and my dash opening doesn't look like someone chewed on it.
  10. Did a squirrel chew on your dash?
  11. The max amount of photos is 20. If you want one, you only need one. However, don't forget to add "dummy data" to your CD-R/-RW so that your disk adds up to at least 1.8mb. This dummy data cannot be MP3 files.
  12. Well, I'm certainly not the expert here, but I believe you don't want any metal between your NAV antenna and the sky (i.e. your roof). My dash is plastic. I mounted the included magnetic square upside down underneath the dash and I stuck my NAV antenna onto that.
  13. I thought that is where all GPS antennas have to go? That's where I already have my navi antenna mounted. I have te wiring underneath the weather stripping on my dirvers side t-top. I was going to run the XM Nav Traffic antenna the same way but on the passenger side. Then have the two antenna meet eachother side by side in the middle of the roof right behind the "T". Would that be sufficient or do I need to distance the two antennas a certain amount to get optimal reception? ~Keith You don't necessarily need your GPS antenna to be on your roof. Most have chosen to mount their antennas
  14. Thanks. It's a 3" suspension lift that was available with the ZR2 package.
