  1. huh? you should verify that testmode works for you (testmode here just means that you can boot to windows explorer desktop). Then just follow the steps.. It will have you boot into service menu (uboot blue screen) where it will have you format and reflash latest OS image from sdcard. Then you will boot to testmode and copy the My Flash Disk folder over from sdcard.
  2. FX3.1 from that thread plus latest teleatlas or navteq 2011 maps for your region will have everything that you need but you can just do the fx3.1 install first to make sure you can get it up and running, and then worry about update the maps/pois later... http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/27807-fx31-complete-firmware-image/
  3. Cool. I suspect there may be a way to do this programmatically from a mortscript (by placing or editing a file on the flash). I think there was a volume settings file somewhere.. You could simply drop in your own .exe into one of the existing .exes, but leaving the .enc and .pwd alone. You can customize the icons by editing the .bmp files. Also, you can even extend the apps "menu" and customize for multiple apps, by editing (w/ hex editor) the sd\AVIC-APPS\Applist.dat to point to other apps. The real power is to be able to have the menu point to an "app" which is just the mortscri
  4. what unit do you have? you can probably use the FX3.1 instructions... this will actually format your existing flash clearing off all available space. If you are going to do this, go ahead and make sure you update the maps to 2011 before copying over to flash so you have the latest and greatest.
  5. look here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/33134-working-custom-appsnav-launcher-for-u310bt-f310bt/ try to boot into testmode. if the touchscreen is responsive in testmode, then your app may be hosed up... no worries.. just follow steps 1 & 2 to update/reinstall the application
  6. No, this procedure is for f700bt, f7010bt, f70bt, f900bt, f9010bt, f90bt for f310bt/u310bt: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/33134-working-custom-appsnav-launcher-for-u310bt-f310bt/ you may also want to look at: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/33151-working-2011-maps-full-poi-db-on-u310bt-and-friends/
  7. found a simple way to enable activesync (from miopocket reg entries): basically import following registry entries, then soft reboot [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\USB\FunctionDrivers] "DefaultClientDriver"="Serial_Class" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Comm] "AutoCnct"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\AsyncMac] "Group"="NDIS" "ImagePath"="AsyncMac.dll" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\AsyncMac\Linkage] "Route"=hex(7):\ 41,00,73,00,79,00,6e,00,63,00,4d,00,61,00,63,00,31,00,00,00,00,00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\AsyncMac1] "Group"="NDIS" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\AsyncMac1\Parms] "Bus
  8. yes.. i'm able to reproduce this same problem.. it seems to be happening when you do any kind of search (address, poi, etc), but browsing poi (near dest, etc) seems to work... im researching this now, but cant seem to figure out why... if i put the old NDATA (2009 original maps) on the sd card, it will search just fine. I'm almost suspecting that the unit may be running out of memory while searching update... Ok, i loaded CNSD-110FM (2010 map/poi) on the sdcard and it is working just fine, so must be something with CNSD-210FM US ( So for now, just use CNSD-110FM til we get this s
  9. i dont think this will work w/ u220. I think f320bt and u220 have newer versions of software, and will only work w/ newest 2011 update: cnsd-230fm Can you check what your firmware version is? settings -> service info, then hold top left corner of screen... will pop up with several version numbers...
  10. right... well, i would recommend giving reflashing with latest 3.1 a shot.. could revive your unit. If you want to go to another avic, the pioneer power harnes will be likely similar, but may have a few pins in different locations (parking brake, etc). The other big difference you may see is the AV harness. You can find a link to the f700bt (same as f7010bt) service manual in pdf on these forums. You can see the exact pinout of power and av harness. Then you will need to look at service manual for the unit you are thinking about getting and check pinouts (especially av harness).
  11. CNSD-230fm is not for F10BT/Z110BT. CNSD-230fm is for U220, AVIC-F320BT, AVIC-F3210BT or AVIC-F220 You only need 210fm: http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/products/25/38/301/CNSD-210FM/specs.html
  12. if it comes on at all, then you can probably save the unit by reflashing with latest sw. take a look here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/27807-fx31-complete-firmware-image/ if you can boot into the blue uboot menu, then you can re-flash os, then proceed on to copy over system files.
  13. look for the other map update threads in this forum. You just need to apply the right maps (region + date) to update your map and poi folders in APL2\IGO\CONTENT I belive igo8.3 maps would work if you are updated to latest f900bt 3.x version
  14. you have internal flash. but if you are getting splash and then shutdown, not sure you are able to run any update from pioneer. you can check out FX3.1 mod - it's pretty good: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/27807-fx31-complete-firmware-image/
  15. http://gpsunderground.com/forum/gps-navigation-systems/igo-gps-systems/igo-maps/
  16. i deleted some unnecessary folders (USER, PLT). some will be re-created by application.. ahh - i think that might be it... rename PRG to PRG0 should have: \USER\PRG0\ -- APL\ -- Fonts\ -- EL090APL.HTM -- EL090APL.VER \USER\SYSTEM\RENEWAL\VERINFO.DAT let me know if that fixes it and i'll update the instructions...
  17. no... i think this ignores everything except for looking for application in USER and NDATA inside of NDATA folder...
  18. did you copy both winceimg.bin AND winceimg.cks to root of the sd card?
  19. what does your SD card directories look like? do you have \DATA\DATA\NN (where nn is numbers) Do you have \USER\PRG0\APL? here's a pastebin of my sdcard: http://pastebin.com/x9m2X4mY
  20. ok you can use imdisk to mount the virtual image.. after installing imdisk, just right click on the .img you produced with hjsplit http://www.ltr-data.se/opencode.html/#ImDisk
  21. hrmm.. mac native disk image utility mounts it just fine file ndata.img ndata.img: x86 boot sector, code offset 0xfe, OEM-ID "MSWIN4.1", sectors/cluster 16, Media descriptor 0xf8, heads 1, sectors 6934464 (volumes > 32 MB) , physical drive 0x3a, reserved 0xd, dos < 4.0 BootSector (0x0) I'll see if i can fire up my windows xp vm and get it to mount
  22. maybe try virtual clone drive: http://www.slysoft.c...n/download.html or daemon tools: http://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/products/dtLite
  23. according to http://www.pioneer.e...30FM/index.html, f320bt may already have 2.00x firmware. Seems like this would be flash that is already on the device. Sorry to hear that you are having issue with it. OPEN OS CKS FILE FAILURE... sounds like it could be that the .bin and .cks are not matching, or it cant opent he .cks file. Perhaps try another sd card? Full power cycle? Hard reset (hold reset button for 5+ secs)? i wonder if flashing with f310bt firmware would be worth a try http://www.pioneer.e...0_VER_10004.zip I can't seem to find any link for current f320bt firmware.
  24. Ralpharn, not sure if you are doing this, but you can make reg edits and soft-reset (retaining reg-edits) with mortscripts...
  25. did you you copy both WINCEIMG.BIN and WINCEIMG.CKS to the root of the sd card? What happened after a power cycle? Do you get the second image? If so, perhaps the F320BT firmware is slightly different? Did you make a backup of your My Flash Disk before attempting this? Perhaps there is a WINCEIMG.BIN and WINCEIMG.CKS in that backup that you can try..
