  1. you send it in and tell them you got it like that they have no way of proving that you messed with it. Sure these forums are here but g/l matching up the poster with this unit. If they have no hard evidence they have no right to void warranty. The company may notice its not original but they have to prove you did it b4 they can void it. Thats the way t is in my line of work anyways.
  2. i must be stupid because i have read the entire thread about 3 times for changing the clock colour, adding the cancel button and adding on the km/h reading. And i am still puzzled to where i have to insert those lines to. can someone lead me in the right direction pleas?
  3. no it is notthe same. i tapped mine from the ecu itself and it is a whit/blue wire on my car 05model
  4. on my old d3 there used to be a screen that showed the speed pulse and that only showed up when the speed wire was connected but i have not yet found that
  5. as long as you are running fat 16 or 32 i do not see why it should not work gl and please update us
  6. I do not know if this will work but you can try using a wheel speed sensor for the vss. The only thing is i am unsure of what the vss looks for if it is signal, some sort of voltage or w/e but i would assume signal. a wheel speed sensor should have al 3 if i am not mistaken
  7. Hey Ctmopkins, no problem. what car are you driving maybe i can help you out with the speed wire aswell

  9. your best bet is to go without music for 2 weeks. i know it will drive you crazy but from the looks of it it will be harder to rewire everything then just to leave it
  10. for the vehicle dynamics drive and calibrate the unit since it has lost power it lost all its memory. Then once it works again it will reenable the vehicle dynamics
  11. click for complete walk through
  12. [ul=http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/audio/98901-jepettos-complete-avic-d3-install.html]click for complete walk through[/url] this was an instal done on a SI model so you will have less to do if you do not have a factory amp
  13. I am a little bit disspointed with the boot up time and the errors in the bluetooth system but other then that it is a huge improvement over my D3 and my N2. No looking back and since i have heard that a second update is on its way i presume it will resolve most of my issues
  14. i shoul mention though that i am having some issues with this ipod on this deck. every now and then i start the car with the ipod connected and it says on the screen ipod connection failed please reconnect. i beleive it to be a pioneer issue but it could well be a ipod composite cable issue?
  15. this should help you out how to remove all components to get to radio page 6 shows you the 24 pin connector
  16. aaa gotcha a little behind on my terminology haha. the 24 pin connector is behind your stock radio or in your case where your new deck now sits.
  17. I am not posiive of what you mean. do you mean the actual connector for the 24pin connector? And what is a SWC? do you mean the SWI-PS? If i am not mistaken all mazdas use the white wire from the swi and do not cut the loops. The actual connector for the radio you have to have found otherwise how did you run your new system? unless you wired it all up new and did like a dash tuck or something. please fill in some blanks so i will be able to help you a little better
  18. i baught the iiodentical one from apple futureshop link here
  19. i have the swips hooked up to my f900bt and it works flawlessly. I beleive that you have the 24pin connector on your mazda like my mazda 3. If i am not mistaken all 01 and up mazda's have the same wiring harness connector. For my car mazda 3 i used the white wire from the swips. heres a tutorial that will help you out. check thisout for instal on mazda 3 hope that helps Pin 9 from stock harness for pac swips white wire pin 10 from stock harness ground to chasis and power and ground for your swi
  20. Hey man i would like to help you if i can i am located in toronto ontario myself and the first 5 problems you listed i am having problems with myself. It is very annoying the main reason i went with pioneer is becase I have had 2 previous avic units and they have been amazing. The F really needs some major debugging

    Boot Time

i dunno the answer to your question but my D3 was a hell of alot quicker then the f900bt i have My D3 booted in like max 5 seconds where my F takes 55 seconds
  22. onstar module w bose system(do not go for the 01 version because that will not do) steering wheel module ipod cable (suggest you look for the cbib200 it will not have to connect to power it will have that built in the cable)
  23. could have been before you parkwed it the last drive wire could have come loose and now it is warning you. best bet check the wiring
  24. i was surprised to find the wiring harnesses the same but it made everything so easy and the mute wire mod was easy to. I purchased my unit and installed it in the parking lot lol. just my antenna wire was a real pain to get to
