Hey there, i work for bmw and we also have the fiberoptics cables (aka most system) running to our amps. So far i have not yet seen an aftermarket system in the new models. Mind you all of our new cars since 03 i think have had an actual screen in them with optional navigation. The 3, X3 and X5 have been optional for screens though. The newest 07 x5 and newer has had a standard screen in it with optional nav aswell. There is no actual most connector going in to the unit itself but the most does do alot of updating, takes care of the audio and chimes. I am assuming that if you tried running th

I was actually looking at the alpine w505 before i baught the f series and i am glad i waited to get the f series. the only thing i would have liked on the alpine would be the fact that i can have portable and built in navigation. Maybe load time would have been quicker but w/e i like the F series

i am having some issues with my regular ipod video using the apple composite cables. It states the VR could not be updated and that connection has failed. Have to disconect the ipod and reconect but every 2nd or 3rd start up of the unit only

In 3d though id i do that in 2d it just shows the map facing north and the arrow of the car moving

I am not to keen on how the nav does not go in the direction you are driving and the map turns with it like it did on my d3 in the 2d mode. also if you go off road to a plaza or what not it does not track you to it it keeps you on the nearest local road. Also not to keen on the long laod times but what can you do. Te nav maps are way more sophisticated then my d3 though so thats a plus

DAM maybe i should have driven to the states and baught one here in canada the 900bt cost me 1355 with taxes and the 2 year full coverage service plan from FS. The unit itself is worth 1099$ over here we get ripped again

Here n Canada they finally released it not just rereleased it. They were supposed to release it here 1.5 months ago and because of that firmware update issue they pushed back the release date

Hey everyone, just got my F900BT and let me tell you i am more then impressed with the unit. I had the Avic N2 and the AVIC d3 before and i love the 900. I am a little dissapointed with the load time though but oo well. The connectors were the same from my d3 so no rewiring there the only thing they changed was the antenna for the gps but no biggie. Baught it today and installed it in the parking lot and the BT function is working perfectly. Just thaught id share Mazda_3

with all honesty go and buy the connector dont hack up your harness, Unless its already cuto off go to the wrecker and cut one out for your car and just reatach it. If youd rather splice and dice what car, year, model do you have Nissan is to general

they had the same issue with the d3 i have and the n2 i used to have. I cannot wait to get my hands on the f series still waiting on them to be releaesed here in canada was supposed to be today but they didnt get them

if the muffler was welded then they have to make sure that the muffler doesnt blow a leak while you are driving. But when i had mine installed they were a reputable shop and specialized in exhausts so they did not test drive my car. Some of the cars they had in the shop were amazing vipers, porsches, bmws, and lots more

wow this is amazing very nice. I know i may get flamed for this but how did you manage to change the backround on the unit? as far as i know you were only able to change the on the d1 and d2. Or did they find an update for that?

sounds to me like you have a faulty unit

does it stop everytime after 5 minutes of driving or is it more a on off kind of thing? could be your speed wire having a lose connection or a bad connection. Best bet check your speed wire
