  1. Not for $120. If I could get it for $20 I might think about it, otherwise it's getting pirated.
  2. Get the Connector that you just bought with USB input and connect the ipod up to that (the one that comes with the x940bt). This will leave the RCA cables open for the rear dvd player to work.
  3. I'm in South Florida (home of the bath salt zombies). Anything goes down here. I'm sure it could sound better, but since I'm going deaf from years of obnoxiously loud stereo systems, I just want something that sounds good at lower volumes instead of going crazy again.
  4. Not sure what's going on here, but I want to state that this forum is related to Pioneer products, not HIFI audio (note the name of the site). Anyways, I got the HU for the features that it offers, not for SQ. I was stating that the features are greater then what the app radio 2 offered. The audio sounds fine to me but of course I know that a CD/SD card would probably produce the best clarity, but I don't really care all that much. Also, the car is almost 7 years old and came with a CD player only.
  5. I was having problems with mine, but turned out I had a weak ground. Moved the ground to a better spot and haven't had a problem since.
  6. Cable from B&H shipped today. I'll review that also.
  7. I love the unit. Has all the features you could want. Just make sure you do the parking brake bypass to access all the features without any issues.
  8. HDMI to RCA is a fail as far as I can tell so far. Just giving some weird hissing audio noises and no picture. Trying to piece together another setup. So far it looks like RCA to USB male, then a female USB to micro usb adapter (trying to bypass MHL since it needs constant power). Gonna run to best buy real quick to see what they have also. 9. Amazon setup will be here tomorrow. Not sure when the samsung adapter will become available since they are the only place I have seen the carry it.
  10. I got all that working already through bluetooth (including playing slacker through bluetooth audio). I would like to get netflix image onto it though. App radio 2 headunit worked through HDMI to get video, so I doubt it will ever work unless someone comes out with an AV connection. Edit: Found this as a new item a B&H. I'm gonna try it out for $10 and I'll write a review of what happens. http://www.bhphotovi...o_AV_Cable.html Edit 2: Going to try this setup out also from amazon. 11. Is it possible to get android to run in app mode like the iphone does (mirror image of phone)?
  12. I have a 32 gb memory card in the microsd slot and it doesn't sound any better. As far as I'm concerned, the bluetooth audio is more consistent then the sd slot. Probably has to do with most of my music being youtube rips though.
  13. Sounds fine to me for the most part. Not sure of any other way to do it since I want to keep the phone charging while the bluetooth is running. It's an android phone and the battery life sucks.
  14. Just found out I can get audio from any source on my phone by connecting through bluetooth audio. Doesn't show anything, but I don't care. I'm happy to have access to my slacker radio account and iradionow/iheartradio features.
  15. Android can be controlled via bluetooth audio or usb wire, though I have yet to figure out how to get it to work properly with BT audio.
  16. Mine is on the top left corner of the windshield. Never had a problem with clarity that way.
  17. I don't think that will work on your unit as it is made to work with the SPH-DA01 & SPH-DA100 radios, not the X-series. X-series has many more features then those radios (they rely on only app radio to work besides FM/AM radio).
  18. Doing the bypass should be one of the first things you always do with a navigation unit IMO.
  19. I can play around with mine, but I doubt that you can hide it.
  20. Did you make sure that you press the audio off option to turn all audio off. It doesn't work for me unless I do that. Also, I got better quality by putting the mic in between the 2 driver seats, than I did putting it in the driver's side headrest. Then again, I was using the pioneer mic that I got off amazon.
  21. I never had that problem, but some of my songs speed up randomly for a second. Might have been a bad rip though.

SanDisk 32 GB that came with my old phone works great on my X940BT through the micoSD slot and through the USB plug with an adapter. I think it might work because it was formatted through a cell phone (probably in FAT32 partition).
  23. Where did you plug it into. I accidentally plugged it into the W/R slot on the back of the unit. Brought it back to installer and realized it had to be hooked up to auxiliary input wire.
  24. on the x940, there is a 'display off' button in the settings menu towards the bottom.
  25. I got my pioneer mic off amazon today but when I hooked it up to the unit (x940), the Auto EQ option isn't letting me use it. Am I supposed to do something to engage it, or could it have to do with my PB bypass not working correctly?
