ok so I have the D-1 and I'm looking at getting the D3, however I have not found anything that really makes me want to switch. I mean yeah it has the bluetooth capability, phonebook yada yada yada but it only has 1 slot for dvd's,Nav, and cd's!? WTF is up with that? I think I would rather get a external dvd player and run dvd's that way...any other input?

backup camera is permanently powered - D3 always displays it

yup he's right. the reverse gear wire is connected to a 12v constant source so the unit thinks u are always in reverse. I ran a toggle switch to the reverse gear wire and the power of the camera. That way I can flip the switch and see whats behind me. -
you obviously haven't seen my cavalier.... this is a great website for cavalier owners www.v6z24.com

The installer did not ground the mute wire after you re-located it. Take the deck out Ground the mute wire or T-tap the mute wire That you have relocated to the parking brake wire

so I copied the disk using dvd decrytor and I got 2 files. One file is 6.46 GB (6,938,918,912 bytes) the other file is 8.22 KB (8,424 bytes) what one do I burn? Do I just burn the 6.46GB file using dvd decryptor? It's already in ISO file. I just dont want to mess up these expensive disks

ok I have dvd decryptor so is this exactly what I do 1. open dvd decryptor 2. insert nav disk 3. select read from the mode menue 4. hit the "go" button 5. select the .iso from the folder I saved it to 6. burn the disk using nero? when I use nero what do I burn it as? do I burn it as a dvd or a data dvd?
-
I am also having this problem, I put my nav disk in my comp, read it with dvd decryptor, then tried to burn the iso with nero selecting "create dvd data disk"

Actually I have installed Xbox's into cars all the time. I just use a regular inverter. Matter of fact I use a cheap 500W inverter. No problems for me...

can someone tell me exactly how to do this?

I have a tmobile sidekick 3 and I was wondering if I could upload the phone numbers to the address book. Is this possible with the D1?

jsut so you know the PS2 is a 12v system. You can actually splice into the power cord and run it to a power and ground and BAM no inverter needed!

ok so now I am taking the disks back to the guy I got the unit from and he's going to give me 100 bucks back. What I want to do is make copies of them so I have them for myself. How would I do this? Do I just put the disk in the comp and use nero to "make exact copy of dvd"? -

so nobody huh? 1 more thing...I inserted the nav dvd-rom into my comp and it's only 3.2G for the whole thing...is this the normal size for the nav disk? -
Ok so I bought the d1 from craigslist and I hooked it up today to find this...when I insert the west coast map disk everything is fine until I try to input a destination. I get through the part where you type in the house number but it freezes when I enter the street name, then after a couple of seconds it goes back to the map screen. I also did notice that the disks that I am using are not the original pioneer disks. On the disks it says, CNDV-60m WEST AND THE SAME GOES FOR THE EAST. It does not say on the disk weather or not if it's a dvd-r dl or a dvd+r dl. I also do not have the reverse wi
