  1. I bet Appradio2 will get the exact same update. everything looks identical to AR2, even the connections! so there is no reason AR2 should not get the same update as DA110
  2. It is too soon but if they both uses the same bluetooth module, the both can perform the same way. I found that SPH-DA09 has the same module as the one used in DA110 but I have not seen SPH-DA09 before so i can not be sure that is the same as DA100
  3. Looking at these two website... http://www.bluetooth.com/Pages/Product-Listing-Detail.aspx?ProductID=25601 http://www.parrotoem.com/en/connectivity-modules/fc6000 it looks like that the model they used in DA110 can handle voice recognition and Text-to-speech. I wish i could check the model of the bluetooth we have in DA100
  4. So that means it is exactly the same as DA110 and they should release the firmware for it and in the worse case, there should a fireware hack that can enable the Advance Audio distribution profile! I am so looking forward to the new update now!!! that would make it a great radio!
  5. Thats great!!! Us woulf probably get it around that time as well since AR2 has been release close the release in Euro. I noticed a quote in the article for DA110 that said: "Parrot Bluetooth allows for hands-free and now wireless audio streaming from a Bluetooth-enabled device." Does DA100 comes with the same hardware?
  6. That would be fantastic having the Audio Streaming on my system! Did they announced any date on the launch of the new AR? I hope it is soon tho!
  7. Let’s hope for that! Although if you look back to the AR1 and AR2, they did not change the way AR1 was working when they released the AR2 with the android compatibility. But I will hope for that because audio streaming is something I really want to have right now. Thanks VBLUE42.
  8. Don’t know that is feasible but is there anyway that the Bluetooth profile can be changed in AR2 so it can accept A2DP or other profiles? That is absolutely missed in AR2 and other manufacturers had a while ago on the HU!
  9. i think this works because the way appraido works is that it verifies the ipod though USB line and thats where the icon on the screen becomes available and then get the input audio and video from the the ports on the 30-pin. they are analog so there is no need to convert them to digital(HDMI) so it will work if you just want to play your music by just having the setup and use the aux to connect it to the 3.5mm aux on the ipod/iphone. with this method you can even change the songs of your connected ipods as well with the album cover and infos of the song. Try it and Let me know how it works
  10. Yes, but something i forgot to mentions is that you need to have the ipod connected to it. You need a regular USB-30pin connector like the white one that comes with the ipod and you need to connect that to the USB portion of the cable. That way the AR thinks that the ipod is connected and tries to get the signal through the cable. Then you can plug a 30pin-aux to get an AUX input to the AR2. I can provide a picture of what I did.
  11. I want to confirm that you can get AUX Jack with the existing 30-pin cable. All you need is a female 30pin to Aux convertor and you can get aux input to the radio if you want
  12. Have you tried the steps I wrote? They should give you connectivity for a while with any iOS version. Contacting iGo does not help you since the problem is with the apple connectivity and not the AR2. even Bluetooth GPS antennas have the same issue with iOS 6 http://cloudahoy.wordpress.com/2013/03/10/external-gps-devices-and-ios-6-1-2/ but if you reset the iPod, the problem should go away temperately and you can at least use it while you are driving. but you need to do that everytime you want to use the GPS if you have unplugged the device already.
  13. Sorry yonel but the only way to get it fixed is to follow my procedure to reset the privacy and it works only when your device is reconnected within a few hours and after that you will get a same problem. It has been an issue since iOS 6.0 but the only version that had fixed the problem was 6.0.1. I didnt know that the newer version can screw the GPS at that time and updated my iPod to 6.1 and I am stock with the same problem again! Hope apple release an update to fix that issue before releasing a completely new iOS (like 7!) cause who knows how many new problem we might get out of that!!
  14. A couple of things you need to do to not lose the signal is: Turn off "Set Automatic" in General -> Date&Time Turn off "Location-Based iAds" and "Setting Time Zone" in Privacy ->Locations Services -> System Services This prevent iPod from obtaining GPS signal from WiFi location when the device is not connected to External GPS.
  15. I have been having this problem since I bought the unit, i changed about 3 units to make sure that there is no manufacturing error and I kinda got tired of it and let it go since the problem is with the apple unit and not the AR. There is no need to uninstal and install any app. You just need to close the apps, reset the Localizatrion services in the General->Reset-> Reset Location Privacy and then turn the iPod OFF and then back ON and that should clear the problem for a while. If you loose the signal again, you need to do that again ( this happened to me when I have the iPod disco
  16. Something for sure is that the audio streaming! but their presnetion failed at 5:04 when he was going to the next screen! FAIL Pioneer!
  17. iOS 6 does not support the External GPS input to the iPod!!! There is a bug that has been created by the iOS 6 that prevents the iPod to receive external GPS signal. Some people said that it has been fixed in iOS 6.1 but came back in the later updates!! Seems like Apple does not care about the External GPS connectivity. However, there is a fix for that but it is temporarily and will come back after your iPod has been disconnected from the appradio for a while... To have connectivity, you need to first turn the automatic time and date OFF Reset the Location & Privacy in General -> A
  18. A few people in the forum mentioned that in order to use the older version of iPhone/iPod (4/4s) on the new firmware 8.30 you need to first disconnect your phone and turn the bluetooth off (you need to turn the appradio OFF and turn it back on by the OFF option in the second page), then go to the setting and in the connection menu change the Digital AV (set by default after update) to Other. Here is the forum link (#28) http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/36081-appradio2-sph-da100-update-v830/?p=262798 Hope that works for you...
  19. Thanks Dannzy, I connect the ground of the radio to the chasis and the noise is gone, i guess it was the problem with the ground wire that I used from the harness.
  20. Hi, I have recently noticed that there is noise when i connect my iPod and it is a constant noise and does not increase or decrease when I change the volume and when I diconnect the ipod, the noise will go away! Does anyone have a similar experience? (I use KTP445U to amplify the signal a little bit.)
  21. it should work! since dock is like an extention cable, it does not change the signal along the way from the input to the phone. Plus, it works like a 2-way bridge as well. If I were you I wouldnt worry about that.
  22. well if this is the case and the DockConnector2Aux works, there is no difference between any device that has AUX. The only question that remains would be that... how to trick AppRadio into thinking that ipod is connected. I Have appradio 2 but had appradio1 a while ago and the concept is the same as it has two input to the radio from the ipod/iphone. dannyz3343, the reason the adapter worked intermittently was that when you connect the ipod to appradio, appradio will switch to ipod mode and then when you connect the adapter it just receive the audio from the cable. Now my question is what
  23. Has anyone tried Female dock connector to Aux? From my understading... when you play an audio through the ipod/iphone, usb is used for the communication between the Appradio2 and the phone and other wire is to transfere the audio signal . So it might be possible to have the aux through FemaleDockConnector2AUX converter...
  24. Go to the second page and press the OFF icon (it will turn the appradio off), then turn the radio back on by clicking the screen and the menu is fully accessible. As soon as you go to the iPod, Radio, Pandora or AppMode, some of the menus will be unavailable. Seems like a bug to me but this worked for me!
