I think the gps positioning, the vss and the reverse all make it pretty acurate, but it's only going to be as acurate as the maps are. For some reason, this one street near my house is the only one I have found to have a problem...I turn on the street but it still thinks theres another 50 or so feet before I turn. You can't expect these devices to be 100% flawless. Good luck on world hunger!

I use it all the time, just so I know how much longer it will be until I get th ere. I have only really needed it a couple of times since I've installed it. I know the area too well where I live to really get the full benefits out of it. Oh well its still bad ass!

Yes as far as i know. When you go to take the silver sticker off heat it with a heat gun and follow it with a sharp razor blade, then heat it back up and put it back on when your finished. I'm not sure if it will update it because you already have the N3 in there. I don't think it matters what monitor you have, only what brain unit is running it. I've installed a couple N2s and N3s and the only difference i can see on the monitor is the switch that is on the N3 as opposed to the r197 spots on the N2. Where were you at when it got stolen?

Sorry to see that! But you should be able to use a n2 screen with the n3 brain and it will be the same controls as you are used to. You will still need to by pass it under the silver sticker though with a circuit writer pen. Everything should still will as far as I know. You can buy some nav discs off of ebay for like 20 bucks. I just got two and they work great! They might be bootleg but who cares. As far as the N4 goes...I would probably want that because hopefully the sirius controls are a lot better. If the roady antenna has a purple connector then you should be fine, if its a black connector at a 90degree angle you need an adapter which comes in the micro xm antenna packaging.

If you don't hook the vss up you might as well just sell the avic and buy a $200 mio

This is by far the easiest way to do it..Just sucks that you have to buy a 6 dollar pen and use it for half a second. By the way, if you take a heat gun and heat the sticker up and take a new razor blade and slide it under while following the heat gun, the sticker will comes right up. Then after you bypass it, heat up the bottom of the sticker and the adhesive on the unit and no one will know it's been bypassed!

I work at a best buy, and if the car is really nice and the owners are pricks we won't touch it. I'd try to taking the battery off for 10 minutes and letting the systems reboot. Hopefully that should work, if not who knows

Not the CD-IB100II box unit, the gray serial plug cable (CD-I200). Plug that into the port that says "iPod" in the rear and you should be good.
