tekgk
I flipped through my manual and couldn't find out what one of the icons showing up on the screen was (granted I didn't read cover to cover at length). Call me a n00b or just plain lazy, but I'd really appreciate it if any of you know where I can look up what this icon is - it's all red, kind of like a start with dots forming an arch above it. whtcrxghst
What exactly does a "start with dots forming an arch above it" look like?
HiFiSi
I'm sure he meant "star"
whtcrxghst
Duh, my bad. Sounds like the one you are describing is the one I usually see near parks/rec areas
toytaco
I've always thought the icon was some sort of fountain and it is always within a park.

inferno999
Yup. Somewhere, and I don't remember where, I saw a larger version of it, and it had slight shading that made it MUCH more clear that it was, in fact, a fountain. ... for the longest time I thought it was some sort of clown juggling or something... LOL!
HiFiSi
Yeah, I always thought it looked like either a fountain or a geyser. Seemed logical it would signify a park area.
toytaco
A clown juggling. I love it. Now that I think about it I can see that. (now post only once dammit)
gowyn
I actually was wondering about map legends and symbols used on these maps. Of course Pioneer was useless, ended up going to to Teleatlas' website and had a look there. Downloaded a cople of user manuals for their software and now have a better idea of what some are. I'll see if I can find the files and upload them if need be.
