ANTP228
no you dont glue the unit and plug together i mean you drop some hot glue into the back of the plug where the pins slide into the grooves, of the i pod cable
Kebo72
OK folks my issues must have been the pioneer ipod cable after all. I've had my new cable in for 4 days now and everything works perfect.

jahlinux
I'm having the same problem with the new iPhone 3G. If a lot of people are having the same problem how will getting a new cable fix the problem? Can you use something other then the Pioneer cable?

I think Apple makes a cable that should work just the same as the Pioneer and I think the Apple Cable is a little cheaper believe it or not.

jrdiesel
I had a similar problem. The negative pin broke on the front left RCA input at the white harness on the back of the deck. http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17786

methodbasic
can anyone else confirm this is the ipod cable and not the ground wire(s) on the white plug?
lasrx
Is the cable warrantied by Pioneer? This cord costs $50!
