kryngle
Well we can all forget about the July release. Now they have shifted it to AUGUST. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/Navigation/UpgradeDiscs/CNDV-70MTP

Phlame217
Its becuase of the huge f-up on the new f series.
djhuab
Even without the f-series i bet we still would have had this delay. Sad to say but i dont even think it will be next month. Not only that, but also we need a firmware update because this makes no senses for a nav to have this bad of a routing system.
Raiden
Don't click on "Notify Me" as the link bring you to a page that still states July!!! hehehehehe  We will be receiving the latest upgrade and map disc (CNDV-80MTP) in July, we will notify you when it is available for sale on the site. Your email address will only be used for this purpose. For more information we invite you to read our privacy policy..
Yettavr6
I'm really ready to just scrap this piece of garbage D3 and buy a god damn DNX. I'm so sick of Pioneer's crap. I tried to use my D3 on a real trip for the first time this week, and it couldn't even get me there. We had to use the VZ Navigator on my friend's phone. Pretty embarrasing. wpageabc
The support is not much better than the product. But for the money its still not bad...
kryngle
Hey I was readin the postin from Pioneer when they tellin us to sign up to get notified about the new disks... Now it says "We will be receiving the latest upgrade and map disc (CNDV-80MTP) in July, we will notify you when it is available for sale on the site. Your email address will only be used for this purpose. For more information we invite you to read our privacy policy"... Does that mean we gettin different disks all together??? Or will we get an upgrade package and a map package???
HiFiSi
No. It's an "upgrade and map" disk, not an "upgrade" and "map disk".
superjet
My D3 has yet to fail getting me where I want to go, although it does not always take me the way that I would expect. Seriously, do not get your hopes up for some miracle fix. All the new disks will have is map updates. The D3 is what it is. Feel free to compare it to last years Kenwood, that thing sucked.
Yettavr6
Well i can't compare it to a Kenwood, because i've never used one, but my instinct would tell me that since Kenwood is based on Garmin, the navigation part of it has to work 10000x better than the Pioneer. The factory navigation in our '04 Grand Cherokee (made by Alpine) works 1000x better than the Pioneer. I will admit most other aspects of the Pioneer work great though, and it sounds terrific as well
kryngle
I pray that the reason for this delay is cause they are actually fixin the bugs we all been complainin about. Pioneer needs to listen to people. Our voices should've been heard when we started complaining about this about a year ago. Come on Pioneer don't make me get them Alpines please. Don't make me turn my back to y'all...
LUNARFX
Where the hell do some of you live? Both me and my girlfriend have the D series and we both rely on it heavily to meet each other in the big ass city we live in, and neither one of us have ever had an issue finding each other. She has the D3 and I have the D2. Â So many people on here bitch and complain about how shitty Pioneer is and their navi systems, well then sell the damn thing and quit wasting posts, and actually research on the navigation unit that you intend on buying before you bitch about how sorry that unit is. Lu Scola
Anyone who is sick of there D2 or D3 let me know I will gladly take it off your hands.... Pm me if you decide your tired of it.
Yettavr6
Unless this update disc fixes the crappy navigation then i will be selling mine...just need to figure out which unit i want.
