jhogan20
I know this probably has been answered already but I want to make sure. I am going to buy a new ipod and I want to make sure it will play video to my D3. Which one? Thanks!

HiFiSi
Oh... sorry. I though we were just talking about video playback. Yes, If I recall correctly, all ipods will work with music playback for the most part.

GnatGoSplat
3rd gen through 5.5 gen ipod6th gen ipod "classic" (only with firmware version 1.02) 1st and 2nd gen Ipod nano  Unfortunately, 3rd and 4th gen iPods don't play video at all.
HiFiSi
Really? I thought the 3rd gen ipods were the first to support video... but now that I look at the ipod wikipedia article... I guess you're right! The 5th gen ipods were the first to offer video playback.
subaru_terrence
only 1.0.2 for the classic? Â what if I have 1.1.2? Is there any solution with it? Â by the way, it is kinda off topic but when i play videos with my ipod normally, it cant play videos non-stop.... Â i pretty much have to choose the next video whenever the previous one stops...it is pretty annoying if I am just playing music videos
subaru_terrence
I downloaded the ipod_24.1.0.2 firmware and tried this solution download the firmware place it on your desktop go to itunes hold shift and click restore pick your new firmware on your desktop and let it do its thing  I hold shift and click restore...it said they cant find any firmware  then i tried this solution instead http://spr33.co.uk/wp/archives/downgrad ... re-102-101 i cant even find the folder in my vista in step
69Mach1-409
..I can't find that folder either...
GnatGoSplat
In Vista, substitute "Users" folder for "Documents and Settings", and substitute "AppData" for "Application Data". Also, you'll probably have to enable being able to see hidden files and folders to see it.
