gpollacchi
Changes are NOT saved. Have you reboot back to testmode and see? Or am I missing something? How do you save the changes permanently?
Bman69
ok boot into testmode then change the settings and Press OK once you are done turn your car off... the headunit will take a few extra seconds while its going through its own shutdown and once its at the off screen(black) removed the SD card and turn your car back on .... thats it

Jascias
Faster boot time for me as well as response time. Does work.
vagetaqtd
For those that are having issues with this mod, many people who have tried this already do notice a better response time because their changes are being saved. Â If you really want to know if your WinCE settings are loaded each time you start your NAVI, go into Control panel and go under "Owner", there you can enter in your name and personal info, etc, it also gives you an option to display this info each time you boot. I enter my name and check this option. Next time I booted into the NAVI software, a info window pops up instead of the splash screen with my name displaying and with an option to press OK or Close. I just click close and my NAVI software switched back to normal. OK!! PEACE!!

braddman
I changed mine to about 75 percent and saw no increase in speed.
adam.barb
I change the RAM, clicked OK, and rebooted. But the changes did not save. Any ideas?
bbotzong
Mine didn't save, but that's because I hit the hard reset button. I tried again and put the slider about 75% on the right, turned ignition off. I turned power back on, went back in to test mode and it was about 50-55%, not the place I left it. I wonder if you move it too far if it self adjusts??
vagetaqtd
Yes, I did notice that if you set the memory to high it resets itself to default settings. I left it at 2048KB reserve for storage, the rest for programs. Be sure to disable Error reporting service as well, its useless.
EnochLight
Anybody try this post 2.0 firmware?
Jascias
Yes, and it seems to reset itself with 2.0. Worked for me in the previous firmware.
fatherfork
Yeah I've done everything on 2.0 and I can't seem to get mine to stick.
importsport
I updated my new F 900 BT and it is faster and works great. I am new to the board, but I am learning alot of different things about my new unit. Now that the start up is faster I like the unit better. And the ability to change the start up screen is cool. Zulfiqar786
Tried this mod on a F90BT running 2.0......after making the adjustment I restarted the Avic and could have sworn I saw a pretty noticeable improvement in performance. However, when I restarted the unit again in test mode to check if the adjustment stuck...it had not and reverted back to the original setting.
