gatorpa
Anyone having an issue with the VR control button not responding after the update? I turned the catalog mode off after realizing that it was the cause of resetting my itouch and the system after a few minutes. Now I find that when I want to make a phone call or switch av sources, the button control does not work. No menu comes up. The only thing I have done so far was reset factory settings, but no hard reset or reinstall of v2.0. And yes skicrave I have searched for the answer .......so any help appreciated. snolfi
Having the exact same issue. Just installed my system and hadn't even tried VR before I updated to 2.0. But it's the only thing that does not seem to work. Can mute the system and change stations fine, but no Voice Command.
gatorpa
Exactly, glad to know I'm not alone...take it you havent found anything on the forum either?
skicrave
And yes skicrave I have searched for the answer My reputation proceeds me! What screen are you on when you try to initiate voice control? Have you tried it on other screens?
todx
just to be sure, are you guys trying the VR when the map is showing? if you try on your av screen or elsewhere it wont work for me. i think i remember reading in the manual somewhere that VR only works in maps but i could be mistaken. snolfi
Nope, searched around and even posted a similar thread about 10mins after yours which I then deleted when I saw what you had said. I was gonna pull the unit out and quadruple check that the mic was in the right port, but since yours worked previously and now doesn't it must be some type of firmware issue. snolfi
Tried it in map screen, ipod screen, and av selection screen. No dice for all.
gatorpa
Checked manual again and the "multi control" knob should initiate with maps and AV source. I'll try tomorrow on both, good suggestion Also anyone having to reset their time zone EVERY time they go to maps?
offroaderf150
yes i have the same problem as well. looks like theres a bug in the update. it works for me after i go to my contacts screen and call by manually selecting a contact and calling. then after that my VR works. and it used to work on the map screen and the av screen but not anymore until i place a call manually. melduforx
I'm having the same issue as well on my F900. No VR from the click wheel.
cranbers
I am assuming you guys hit the little reset button by the eject button? Also you could try reinstalling the update from scratch. Is there any sort of back to factory reset, one shot one kill? I saw there is one for navigation settings only, and then the reset button ( the little pin hole button) for a reset of the AV controls, I noticed though neither of those however change your splash screen back to default, and none end up asking for language settings again, so its not a complete factory reset. Does it exist or no? If it does, perhaps try that after the update.
snolfi
Yeah, I can't get it to update again because the v2.0 is already applied. And I haven't been able to reset it at all. Just weird that it's happening to some systems and not others.
lasrx
I had the same VR problem after the 2.0 upgrade. I logged a case with Pioneer and they said they'd get back to me. Ofcourse they hadn't. Anyways the unit is completely dead now so I'm SOL and I'll probably have to get this thing replaced. Arg....
blackh8552
not trying to make anyone with a problem mad but just letting everyone know that it is a limited problem because my f90bt with 2.0 the vr works fine. When in ipod mode or map mode and I press up on the wheel the vr comes right up and beeps for input;
