Recently (a couple months ago), my unit (F90BT) would turn on, get to the splash screen, and then go blank. The buttons would also turn off, so for all intents and purposes, the unit was off, though you could hear it humming.

The last update was 2. something...

I tried the directions as in the first post of this thread, and can only get to #9... at that point, the unit boots up in test mode, where you are in Windows, but it stays there for only a second or two before the screen going blank, and the buttons all turning off.

I've tried different WINCEIMG.bin and WINCEIMG.cks, including the ones directly from Pioneer.

Can anyone help?

I am also having the constant rebooting problem with the f90bt. I ran through the steps, but when i try to load testmode 2.3, the screen turns blank/black in 2-3 seconds. i put AVIC-F90BT Firmware Update 2.0080 on the wince sd card but it doesn't do anything different. Can someone help me plz?

Has anyone figured how to get out of this loop ?

I'm having the same issue with a F90BT and regardless of the version of testmode I use or even with the Pioneer 2.00800 upgrade the unit is only loopig to the Pioneer screen and re-boot...

Please help.

i had that same problem, it would go to the windows screen then turn off right, what i read somewhere else is to 1. start the car, 2. on pioneer start logo click and hold the reset and eject button at the same time, after 5 seconds let go of the reset button continue holding the eject button for about 3 more seconds, then let it go, that worked for me, after i tried this way it then stayed on the window screen without turning off

I have the copy past part down. LOL. I can't find my USB drive to copy from.

Found the SD card just fine. Think might put backup on a SD card.

Will post results tomorrow. Everything went by the book till this.

My unit no longer restarts. Thank all who posted.
