mightyb
I was wondering if anyone knew if the bypass for the z110bt model is the same as the Z 1-3 models. I know this unit just came out but I thought Iwould try. I am on my way to pick mine up and will be installing it tonight. Any tips would be great.

SoundworksCarAudio
Hey guys, I am installing an AVIC-Z110BT wondering if theres a confirmed bypass for it yet? Thanks

Mdew06
anyone have any luck on this yet? i really need this bypass, is it possible to use a relay, like on the AVHP units? Take pin 85 and 87 to ground, 86 goes to your amp turn on wire, and 30 goes to your parking brake wire.
mightyb
Ok I got the install but have not been able to get the bypass to work as of yet. The 2 ground wire is not like the other models. The main power wire harness is the same but the harness with all the rca's is different. It does take a different IPOD cable then the other models as well. I bought a fix off ebay tonight and this guy says to use the relay just like MDEW06 said. So I am going to try that tomorrow and will let you know what I come up with. CamelTowing
Are there any open pin locations in either harness? mightyb
There are a couple of open pins on the rca plug. Â The ebay bypass I got was just a simple email explaining how to hook up a relay, he says it will work. I plan on putting in the relay later today I will keep you posted. dbnichols
Not yet, someone asked what the connector looked like, and I just got mine outta the box. I'm going to try the relay bypass if I can find a 5 pin 40 amp relay. I just went to Advance Auto Parts, and that was a waste of time. Headed to Pep Boys now.
mightyb
Dont waste your time with the relay it does not work. I just hooked up the relay and got the e brake warning and once you get to about 5 mph you can no longer enter addresses or watch a movie. I really dont care much about the movie but I want to be able to enter a address with out pulling over. So any idea's  Also if anyone is interested I have a extra one of these Avic Z110Bt if some one is looking for one. Brand new box has not even been opened.
garrettoomey
Did you try resetting the Z110BT after you added the relay?
