adamdenterkin
THIS IS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE UPDATED TO 3.0 SOFTWARE AND ALREADY KNOW HOW TO GET INTO WINDOWSCE MODE. I just wanted to put everything in one place to save everyone all the time i took looking for everything. Most of this information came from the Hacked EZRIDER 3.0 thread but was spread out over 12 pages. 1. Download the World License. Ignore the EZrider file in this zip because it is the old version http://www.gpssoftware.us/avic/newez4avic.zip 2. Download the new EZRIDER.exe http://anonym.to/?http://rapidshare.de/ ... r.rar.html 3. Download the new maps Teleatlas 8.3 2009.2 or Navtec 2009.1 Teleatlas 8.3 2009.2 (North Dakota seems to be a bad zip if anyone has a better one?) http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=6773 ... e89f0f29e8 Navtec 2009.1 (i still need to verify these are the correct Navtec files) http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=6773 ... 8114394287 or Rapidshare Teleatlas 2009.2 http://rapidshare.com/files/266055358/C ... part01.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/266055806/C ... part02.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/266056322/C ... part03.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/266058629/C ... part04.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/266059286/C ... part05.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/266059846/C ... part06.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/266062408/C ... part07.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/266062849/C ... part08.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/266063549/C ... part09.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/266066099/C ... part10.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/266066022/C ... part11.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/266067147/C ... part12.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/266068312/C ... part13.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/266067679/C ... part14.rar Navtec 2009.1 http://rapidshare.com/files/264281038/C ... part01.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/264280099/C ... part02.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/264281598/C ... part03.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/264400046/C ... part04.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/264399448/C ... part05.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/264400404/C ... part06.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/264405039/C ... part07.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/264405754/C ... part08.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/264405650/C ... part09.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/264429924/poi.rar 4. Replace your old EZRIDER file with this new one in the APL2/IGO folder 5. Add the World License to your APL2/IGO/License folder. This will not overwrite your old license just add a new one. 6. Overwrite all your maps with the new maps of your choosing from the 3rd step into APL2/IGO/CONTENT. Make sure you put all files in the correct location. .fbl into the MAPS folder, .poi into the POI folder, .3dl into the BUILDING folder. you are done.
sarin_j
1. Will this work for 3.01? 2. Why do we need maps from Tele Atlas and Navteq? Pioneer uses Navteq, right ?
Pwnin O'brien1287271010
Is there a definitive answer as to which maps are better (NAVTEQ vs. TeleAtlas) or which has better/more POI's? Also, will the .3dc files also go in the BUILDING folder? Thanks!

111299
Hi, the new Hacked EZRIDER 3.0 is only works for US maps or is working for EU maps?
adamdenterkin
Yes this works for 3.01 These links are for US maps but if you find other maps they will work the unit comes with Teleatlas Hacked EZRIDER will work with either teleatlas or navtek I assume .3dc files go in that folder yes. I put them in mine so if i am wrong someone correct me. I think that is all the questions asked so far.

andythilo
Can anyone confirm this method works for the EU units? I have V3 firmware already in my F900 but would like the latest maps.
andythilo
Where would I find the POI and 3D building files for the UK? There not in that link?
diaftia
For California: Teleatlas has two poi files for a total of 45mb. Navteq has 1 for 8mb. Teleatlas' map file is 57mb and Navteq is 47mb Anyone have any comments on the difference between the two content wise? Also, do they look the same?

adamdenterkin
From what i have read from looking around, this is what i have figured out Teleatlas has better coverage for speed limits, and possibly even more POIs. It also shows roads in 3d like overpasses where it shows a shadow and you can see which road is which Navtec has better maps, which i can confirm at least for here. Several roads that are not on teleatlas seem to be on Navtec around town here. Navtec shows things like overpasses without the shadow and may not have as good speed limit coverage. Its really a matter of opinion from what i gather.

I downloaded your 3D building files and i noticed that I had some files that were larger than the ones in your files and the ones from gpsunderground. Should i keep the larger files?
