Itsme
It's amazing to me that a Droid has awesome VR software where you can just talk with your normal voice and it types a text message for you, and my AVIC Z110BT cannot understand a simple "change source to XM"

whobedaplaya
Think you meant to post this link instead : http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=28657 And you mean to say this bug hasn't been fixed in the Z120 update for the Z110?! That was a big reason for me to fork out the cash for it

VBLUE42
Ok so has anyone tried this yet? Is there any definitive indication this update addresses the issue outlined in this thread?
Newman
So, I just installed the update on my boss' car. He has a Z110 upgraded to a Z120 with the CNSD-110FM Upgrade. I cannot say for sure if this fixes the problems addressed in this thread since I do not own a Z and have not experienced these issues first hand but this is what i noticed... When the unit boots up and the radio is the first thing you see, if you press the Voice Recognition button it will say "VR not active. Please go to Map screen and press OK to activate". So as Blue said previously, this "problem" seems to be by design but at least they made it more apparent this time. Instead of the VR failing and being inconsistant before pressing the "OK" button on the map screen, they make it manditory before you can even attempt to use the VR and clearly tell you this when you press the VR button. dawgbone
I would have rather them just make the OK the first thing you have to hit.... regardless of what screen it's on... Hopefully they DID indeed fix it from failing though....<--I won't know till I get home<--no SD card ATM
VBLUE42
When the unit boots up and the radio is the first thing you see, if you press the Voice Recognition button it will say "VR not active. Please go to Map screen and press OK to activate". So, still not fixed. This is just stupid. It is a slight improvement however, but still no cigar. Dawgbone's idea would have been far better. But hey, why am I not surprised?
mattbradders
I'd rather they got rid of the "OK" thing altogether but at least they fixed the VR issue. Mine works much better now. Matt
