ducatiboy
Flashing the lights does not work, as an FYI, here is the info on how to do it. http://www.sminntech.com/z1flash.html But just doing exactly what this shows will NOT work for the Z2. It needs something else.
cntrylvr79
You know Ducati you are my hero. You are a hell of a lot more patient with this kind of stuff than I'll ever be.

jeffatc2000
here is a thought, what if i do the z1 bluetooth echo update on the z2 will it allow me to do the z1 bypass any thoughts
coocho
no, any unit with a new version or same version of the bluetooth software will reject the cdrom you inserted. I am guessing the Z2 already has a newer or equal bluetooth software update.
jeffatc2000
just a thought thanks for the reply
YzRacer
Just another dumb suggestion, maybe try grounding the parking brake wire and/or another bypass wire AND flash the lights on startup? Just throwing it out there, I am going to try to get my Z2 today.

T
just a little FYI when the Z1 to Z2 update is out, it will lockout all current bypasses. so dont update until the new bypass is figured out
cntrylvr79
You find that one out the hard way?
YzRacer
Ok guys, I got my Z2 this evening and I will be playing with it some over the weekend and I will have more time during the week. I will be accepting suggestions on bypassing lol.
Iverson1303
Been waiting to put in my Z2 been reading the thread any new ideas?
coocho
Maybe you two could help us find out the bypass, as opposed to just sitting and waiting for people to find out one.
NedHamilton
I can't believe this is such an "iffy" thing--the Z2 bypass for a $2000 unit. Try grounding this, flick your lights, or maybe cross your fingers while chanting the Pioneer mantra. Doesn't someone have a brother-in-law who works for Pioneer?
