Keith250
Hello, I have the N4 for about a week, I installed myself. I have 1 question in reguards to the Sirius traffic. When I select the traffic source it goes to Sirius on channel 148, which is NYC traffic, however i get no audio (sound). Whats wrong? I have the Sirius SIR-PNR2. I know traffic button is only like a preset button to whatever you set it to. Everything else with the sirius works fine strangly enough if i manually tune it to 148 the audio is fine. Its like that preset isnt workin for me, makes no sense. Any clue guys?
PaisanNYC
Dump the Sirius. Get the Pioneer GEXP10XMT. You get traffic integrated with the maps and any route you set. Not just a channel repeating the same audio recording every 3 minutes.
Keith250
I dont really care too much about the traffic, and I know XM is better for traffic however no howard stern so im not switching. I just want my equipment to work. Anybody know what to do to fix this issue.
PaisanNYC
Ahhh another hoo hoo fan. Enjoy the sub-par service and outdated technology to listen to someone who "jumped the shark" 10 years ago.
whtcrxghst
You should at least mention its a sub par service with far better alternative rock and house/trance stations. I can't stand to listen to my XM anymore for the simple reason they repeat even the old warn out songs every two hours. Where do they find the program director(s)? wastedtime2525
Its got nothin on Area 33 ahhhh a fellow trance addict. Ur right about area 33, sometimes i wish i could get a nice di.fm connection straight to my car, then id prolly trash xm altogether. Navtraffic is worthless in DC anyway, where is it gonna reroute you to, another traffic jam???

apocalypseofthenorm
I wish some people could just answer a question in a civil manner on one of these internet posts for a change instead of using it as a soap box for their opinions. To the ORIGINAL member that posted this reply... that channel is the default channel that EVERY Sirius radio goes to until the SID number has been activated and a phone call has been made to the 800 Sirius number. And for the record, I have an N4 with XM AND Sirius including XM Navtraffic and and additional receiver for XM Satellite Weather. Again, to the ORIGINAL individual of this post, I hope this helps!
