Notes: The ECM (Engine Control Module) is behind the glovebox.

Also found at the radio harness or, if equipped, the stereo amplifier behind the passenger side quarter panel.

Reverse Light red/yellow + left of fuses, 16 pin plug

Working on the installation for avic80 on my 2002 lexus rx300. I have been trying to find the VSS wire with no luck. Appreciate some guidance.

PS. I found one piece of info from Directwire. it says the speed sensor is the violet/white wire out of the cruise control computer above the driver fuse box. I assume it's the fuse box below the instrument panel and the two connectors right above it, but had no luck in locating it there...

i have looked in every book and i cant seem to find it also the auto dimming i have all the wires hooked up to the harness and the dimming feature doesnt worked

Speed Sense = dk. green/white 4K instrument cluster, pin A4 or PCM

The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) is in the left front of the engine compartment to the left of the fan shroud.

On gas models, the VSS wire is in the green plug, pin 50.

On diesel models, the VSS wire is in the black 58 pin plug, pin 42.

anybody knows the VSS and REVERSE wires for a 2007 nissan frontier crew cab and location on the harness to tap into.

will be installing pioneer N3' on my frontier and corolla and pioneer z1 on the pilot. thanks

Speed Sense = blue/white driver multiplex ctrl unit, pin 14 The driver multiplex control unit is attached to the driver side fuse box. It has a green 22 pin plug on the side of the fuse box facing the firewall.

Reverse Light = green/black + passenger kick, harness to rear

thanks for the reply and i manage to do all of three this past weekend. i ran ito a problem tho with the frontier. for the reverse wire, you said light blue in driver kick panel, harness to rear. can you explain this a little further? i have a couple of harness back there (6 to be exact) and some of them have light blue ones. would you know how many pins on this harness you are talking about? appreciate your help. thank you.

I'm going to install my Z1 in a 04 SRX AWD 3.6L with Onstar/phone, and no Bose system or factory navigation. My questions are where do I locate the VSS and reverse wires? Also, I know I'll keep the Onstar, though will I lose the the Onstar phone capability in the car? I was told I'll lose the dash computer display capability and Onstar/phone/nav display readout on the factory radio when I install the Z-1. Any tips on popping off the dash trim plates for the install are appreciated as well.

Does anyone happen to know where the VSS wire is located in the 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. I am trying to install a AVIC Z1 into my Pacifica and need the wiring info. Also I have misplaced my connector 1 wiring harness but I have an AVIC N2 wiring harness does anyone have a wiring diagram for the AVIC Z1 connector 1 harness?
