  1. Make sure none of the contacts have special characters or emoticons in the names. Ex: & $ Also, under the Bluetooth pairing options on the iPhone, make sure all contacts is selected.
  2. The reverse lead is connected incorectly then. The only time that message is displayed is when the AVIC gets 12v on the reverse lead. You can disable the camera in the settings as a temp workaround. You can also look at connection status to see the reverse status.
  3. 1. Check and make sure AV1 is set to iPod. 2. Try repairing the phone.
  4. Make sure it's paired to the AVIC as Handsfree & Audio, not just handsfree.
  5. Yes, you need the av harness to do the bypass.
  6. You can usually use the factory antennas, I did on my VW (after removing the proprietary connection). When you say parking sensors, do you mean a backup camera? The radio isn't going to effect heated seats... TV tuners don't work very well in a moving vehicle. Yes, you can make the startup screen any .jpg you want. SD Card Should, with the correct adaptor.
  7. The whole point of the bypass is to make all the features available all the time. If you don't do the bypass and connect the parking break, you can't really do much unless the parking brake is set.
  8. 1. It depends on what's playing. If you have an album selected, you'll get the arrows. Same if shuffle is on. 2. I know it sounds stupid but 9/10 times it's the phone being on silent or the volume is turned way down (on the phone, not the AVIC) 3. Not sure about that one, I don't have steering wheel buttons.
  9. You can put the AVIC in iPod control mode and still play videos.

    My new GTI!

All good so far! Love it!
  11. If you can't get into the menu, pull the parking brake.
  12. Steering wheel controls can almost always be used with the appropriate adaptor. The PAC SWI-PS is the most commonly used, but there are others. The USB in the center console probably has a proprietary connection behind it but you could always replace it with a regular USB jack or just knock it out and run the Pioneer cable through the hole if you're just using it for an ipod/iphone like here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/gallery/image/126-repurposed-the-factory-ipod-area/ I haven't taken apart a Honda before but I'm sure those buttons could be saved, it just depends on how much work you
  13. Most likely electrical noise. Audio/Video cables should (idealy) be as far from power cables as possible. It's almost always noticible when running AV cables right next to a heavy gauge amp power wire.

  15. Fixed the old forum links that were broken :)

  16. Ohhhh I see what you mean... The old /forum/viewtopic links got broken with the latest update. I'll get them fixed ASAP.
  17. Has it been driven recently? It's not uncommon for the position to be way off after a full reset or the first few power ups. It should get a location fix within a few miles.
  18. Check the volume on your phone, if the iPhone volume is low you'll have that problem.
