  1. With the proposed ala carte plan, when the merger is a done deal, you might be able to sign up as an XM sub, get one of the two newer tuner boxes, and get the Siri Blues channel on it. then it is a matter of hacking the HEX files to add your own channel logo for the Siri blues channel. I have touched on hex editing on here before. Sounds like a lot of work, but its not that bad. Remember, they promised existing radios will not become obsolete under the merger!
  2. We have a brand new station here in NY that is supposed to be on 87.9FM, but of course my HU only goes down to 88.1
  3. Im sorry Im not sure what you mean by whipper

    Metallic Tint

Yes it will hamper the reception of the signal.
  5. Just move up to NYC or Northern NJ and you can have traffic flow and incident data Its weird sometimes when i am travelling, the AVIC will say real early "In FIFTY miles there is slow traffic ahead. Would you like to reroute?" I mean come on, in fifty miles in NY traffic, that could be an hours away and all cleared up LOL
  6. Well because the US Postal Zip+4 system is not set up to do that. And we all know that the good ol'e USofA is the king of North America.
  7. Unfortunately you cannot use D3 discs on an N1/N2/N3/D1/D2 unit. You need the CNDV-70mtp discs. if you are interested in backups on high quality discs, PM me.
  8. Also make sure your antenna has a clear view of the sky with no metal even partly obscuring it. That included metal foil tints should your antenna be inside of the vehicle.
  9. Richmond only gives you Incident information...NOT traffic flow data. Two huge differences. XM can only rely on the data that is provided by municipalities and unfortunately it seems that Richmond does not provide XM with traffic flow... Here is the map for your area that shows you can only receive Incident data:
  10. As mentioned previously, i am using a Vantec Avox Multimedia Jukebox with a 120gb harddrive. This model is a lil old school, as I have had this same unit for 3 years but it works great.. Watch for which media players you purchase. I have been told to stick with media players that use 2.5" laptop sized harddrives. They are built to be mobile and more rugged than a traditional 3.5" desktop computer harddrive. 3 years, and the orginal media player and harddrive have lasted in my last two vehicles. 100degree+ temps inside the car in the summer, and 20-30degree temps in the winter, its st
  11. I didnt buy the camera for looks. I bought it for when I have to parallel-park my Expedition here in NYC every day. The words imprinted on the frame are barely noticeable when installed. Besides, BOYO is one of the best in the business. Why return it and go with an inferior product because of something that cant be seen unless youre standing on top of it?

    D1 Memo?

Yes the Memo button is for the XM TuneSelect feature. When you have a song saved in Memo, regardless of what XM channel you are listening to, if that song is playing, it will notify you that your bookmarked song is playing on channel XX.
  13. I have been waiting for this for over a year. As soon as they add more channels I will definitely be hopping on board. I just wish Pioneer would support XM's NavWeather service in their AVIC's. That would be awesome for long road trips!
  14. dpad84, you really are a fucking crying idiot. Yes they ARE giving the customers something, satisfaction and a savings of $200. You are just a whiney bitch who wants more than what is offered. Take you four fucking posts and leave this forum. Al & Eds. thank you for what you have done for the members here. Most of us do appreciate it.
  15. or do like I did and use a Vantec Avox with a 120gb harddrive. It still works perfectly after two years of daily use in all weather conditions.
  16. Since you are a new member, and too lazy to search, I will tell you. You cannot use European Nav Discs on a North American nav unit. Search the forum and you will find instructions how to "trick" the system, but not all functions will work, and you need dual layers dvds and a dual layer dvd burner to do it
  17. This sounds rediculous. Just have the person in the car with you use the laptop with the iphone connected. why bother anyway else? Also, the 1st gen iphones will not connect to AT&T's 3G network. You have to shell out another $200+taxes and fees plus $10 extra a month on top of the $20 data fee to access the 3G network.
  18. I dont see one NavTraffic logo anywhere http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... AVIC-F90BT
  19. Wait... $30 to get into HIN?? Fuck it. I'll pass.
  20. I thinking of going to the one here in NY... What kind of giveaways do they do??
  21. Praetorian was his name. He sold extremely damaging discs on here.
  22. #1. I am a loser who CAN read fine print. #2. I may be adopted, but at least my adoptive parents arent trailer trash fuckers who raised an idiot kid. Dont mind the idiot newb, xsdbs. He is just mad that he was too fucking illiterate to read the fine print and now he feels he got screwed.
  23. #1. I have a job, and make $107g's a year. #2. I am married and have my own huge place. Try again fucknuts. Keep whining and ruining it. cunt.
  24. Here we go... "Ruin the message board" guy...You joined two days ago. Dont bitch here. Youre making yourself look like more of an ass than you really are.
  25. Yes Pioneer has sent out free UPDATE software in the past. What you guys are wanting are UPGRADE discs. BIG difference in terminology according to Pioneer. The upgrade discs cost money. kthxbi
