1. Pardon my straight-forwardness, but this is all horse shit. They advertise Bluetooth, we should get Bluetooth without putting 'tin foil on the antenna.' Are there any members here that are lawyers and can we do anything? I would be willing to donate webspace for a website or petition, if needed.
2. Looks they went backwards in the design category. Very cheap looking too. Looks like a miniture TV set made in the 1970's.
3. CNN is on regular (non-subscription) TV?
4.
The manual says you're alerted within 300 meters (approx 2/10ths of a mile.) pg. 62 of the user manual When the location with a sound effect and an image are registered comes into approx. 0.19 miles (300 m) radius from the vehicle position, the sound effect plays and the image appears.
Thanks for the page info, I will check it out when I get back home...I didn't take the manual with me. I am staying at the Marriott and I picked that in the POI functions. Why would that be off? I passed it on the other side of street (I got lucky and was looking th
5. I have noticed with the Nav system, that my home is about 2 blocks or so off. The nice lady in my radio says, "you have arrived." Then we get into a bit of an argument, because I know exactly where my house is, and it is not 2 blocks (in either direction) from where I actually am. I am now out of state on a business trip and the nice lady in my Nav system is off on my destination (about 2 blocks off again). If it weren’t for ‘POI’ search, I never would have found the hotel. Is there any way to tweak the Avic-z1 so it knows my exact location?
6. I noticed that yesterday...boots me right back to the Nav Screen. Must be another bug.
7. Carrier: Verizon Phone: LG VX8300 Transfer Contacts: One-by-one Calling: Fully Functional, but Bluetooth echo on other end The distance Bluetooth finds the phone is excellent
8. It seems that when you call Pioneer, they say
what Bluetooth issue?
and/or
lower the volume
to reduce the echo in the same breath. When I had first called Pioneer with the "echo issue" I had called from a land line and they never heard of their Bluetooth causing problems. Fair enough. Then I had called back from the Bluetooth from my F-150. I had gotten the same technician...it was funny listening to him trying to understand what he was trying to say over the echo. You could tell he was having a hard time. What gets me is that they are still flooding the
9.
Dude where have you been? The flasher is not needed any more. So the crazy if you dont have one statement is silly  . Any way, I am loving mine too :D .
I ended up getting an AVIC-Z1 in September that was stamped "JUNE". The bypass worked as advertised. Thanks a million D'Boy.
10. Here is my experience with 6thAve.com. http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 3&start=15
11. Like I said, 6th Ave has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. This is just MY experience. I deal with electronic companies on a daily basis - some other folks have said they have had the worst Customer Service experience THEY have ever had (with Companies I have had good experiences with) and had been quite the opposite with me. It's just MY opinion and experience...they SUCK (6th Ave) for lack of a better description. I DO NOT like feeling I have been taken advantage of and I do not like that I have to fight to get my money back on a DOA (dead on arrival) unit. I also DO NOT li

http://avssys.net/product/camera/page_so3nw.html Excellent cam and sells for @$66 (you can get it from 'ehey' cheaper) . It has a @4mm lens, 420 lines, 1/3 sony HAD, and 0.1 Lux (which is very good). Stick with Sony technology and stay away from Sharp technology. And of course, make sure it is weatherproof. There really isn't a need for infrared, due to the grain it produces. If you would like to see live shots, one with infrared and one without, PM me and I will post a link where you can compare the differences.
14. 1000, dang, you ole geezer. Congrats, bud.
15. Yep, ducatiboy always answers most of my question pretty fast, whether it has to do with "off-roading" the Z1 or BT questions. I even bought one of his "off-road" circuits - it turns out I didn't need it. I bought a Z1 that was dated May, but the unit turned out to be dead out of the box. So now I have a newer Z1 with a later date. Doesn't matter, he has given more tech support to me through reading his posts. So thanks, "D-Boy". :D
16. I saw somewhere on this forum that it can be done with the razr V3c. I believe it said you can enable Obex, so you can transfer files. I also think I saw a tutorial over at howard forums.

Back Up Cameras

It was just an educated opinion and I was trying to help out, no need for smart ass remarks. A rear view cam can be had for well under $400 - spend $35 bucks, and you will be replacing it every month.
Good enough for a rear view backup system. Also, not a bad deal for the price. Heck, at that price you can afford to REPLACE it every couple of years. Most of us don't rush out and buy a $400 CCD camera so we can see the kid's toys when we're backing out the driveway.
380 lines is low end. Average life span for infrared is 2 years. If it is a "CMOS" camera, stay away from it, because you will not be satisfied with the quality of the picture. Also, 1.5 lux really isn't that good, because you will see alot of 'grain' in the pic at night.
19. We have "spot monitors" to do just that. You can actually use your camcorder to do same. If not, use a portable tv. Just make sure the power to the cam is good.
20. 6th Ave., by far, is the worst company in the world to deal with. Move on.
