  1. Kenwoods are nice, just can be dfficult to operate at first. There is definetly a learning curve. Most options features are buried, often hitting many buttons menus. They also have there fair share of bugs, like last years models rollout they were recalled a month later. They also don't have a kickass forum like the AVIC's (and a place to go crying too), so usually issues go unnoticed. Still, very nice decks, and quick response time. Garmin is a big plus also. Of course, expect to pay more, right now more than double compared to the F90. I am going to wait to see what Pioneer has to offer i
  2. You say you have that cable that I provided a link to, yet you claim your cable has no USB plug, yet the link I gave you clearly shows a USB plug? iPod connector on one end, and the other has a USB and seperate audio video plugs. Again, look at the picture of the correct cable and compare them. There are no other cables needed. The deck has a USB, and so does the proper iPod cable.
  3. You can't blame Pioneer for using the wrong cable. http://www.google.com/products?hl=en&rl ... 4&ct=title
  4. I'll take the whole list! Will you take a money order from Nigeria?
  5. You need a GMOS-04. The link you posted is for non amplified systems, and a Yukon will have a factory amp. The GMRC-02 will only take care of chimes.
  6. Is the switch set to IP bus, and hit reset after?
  7. If you want to save some money, my Avic-D3 comes on right away in reverse. Just be sure the camera itself is powered by accessory power, not the reverse light.
  8. My F90 makes my elbow hurt, and I know it's the head unit!
  9. That makes no sense at all. Do you really think this forum is just for complaining people like you?
  10. There is a "learning curve" on the Kenwoods, but generally the owners I've known are happy with them. Bluetooth can be hit or miss on pretty much all decks. Go into the store, and verify your particular phone works. Of course, there is no dedicated forum on them, which can be a disadvantage.
  11. Weird, I searched disclaimer and came up with a few results.
  12. Please don't do this, it sucks in the long run.
  13. The 8 pin connector is not the antenna input on the scc1. The 8 pin is used to go to a converter sold seperatly depending on what kind of deck you have. The antenna that plugs into the scc1 is next to the 8 pin connector, just to the right of your green circle. Just remove that yellow part of your stock connector, and it will plug right in.
  14. No need to lash out at Best Buy and their employees. The same can be said about any place, including ex circuit city employees. Circuit has not turned a profit in several years, with the economy the way it is, that was just a nail in the coffin. Hopefully this will give a spike in business to Best Buy and all the little mom and pop shops. I feal bad your losing your job, and hope everything works out for you as well as all the other employees. However, making excuses and bashing others will get you no where.
  15. Blue/wht is amp remote turn on, not solid blue. Do you get sound when listening to a CD? What kind of car?
  16. Those decks just come with the external tuner.
  17. I'm surprised it's not nuilt into the decks yet.
  18. The benefit to higher voltage is reducing the chance of picking up and hearing induced noise to the amplifier, the lower the voltage, the more amount you should be turning the gains up. Thats it. The reset is marketing. I'm sure you will get the guy on here saying it's much louder, or somehow it's magically changing the quality of the sound originating from the headunit. It's not. Yes, it will be loader if you leave the gains on the amp up or at the same position you would have it at 2 volts. Use a quality rca, and you'll be fine. Don't turn on the deck untill you know everything is hooked u

  20. Fuse 29 under the hood, right rear of engine bay.
  21. Year, make and model of car please.
  22. Just order the 2003 dash from the dealer. There is a post somewhere on it with pictures, but I'll let you hit the search button.
  23. Again, do not remove existing files in those folders. It has been mentioned several times. Just replace the contents.
  24. You do not need to keep the nav dvd in the drive anymore, all the info is stored internally. However, XM logos have changed and no Pioneer AVIC deck will display them correctly unless you modify them yourself in the other thread.

    HD Radio

Finding the tuner to buy is relatively simple. If you are unable to get past that point, I would suggest bringing into a reputable install shop.
