    Spotify

My old phone is the N6, I put spotify on it, and I'll see if is shows up. (it won't connect as it's not active anymore, but I can see if it shows up.) My current phone is the LG V10, I'll test it with the same, and get back to you.
  2. I don't remember a setting for that, but what I would do is see if answering it by the phone changes that. You might be touching the Green answer and then accidentally keeping it there and the Private On/Off is in about the same place (going from memory) Private On is basically a "Mute" of the sound As far as the sped up voicemail, I'm guessing it's the phone.... try reseting the BT on both, and re setup... that also might fix both...
  3. Yea, it was very easy.... what it does is add a folder to the flash drive (with some sub folders and a file or two), this all from the HU in the settings.... Then when you plug that into your Windows computer (I was upset that no Mac), the Navi software sees it and you just tell it to download the latest update. I'm not sure if they will want to charge for that, lets hope that it will just allow you to download the files from when your 5000 was new.
  4. For me on my 8100, it's washed out looking... as long as I have the 'Traffic' on it's somewhat readable with the green and red lines.... it's why I use the built in for most things, but use AA for voice command navigation, unless I'm stopped and can tak the time to manually type the location in.
  5. You might want to try updating the maps. www.naviextras.com sign in/up and follow the instructions to update. you'll need an SD card with more than 4gig (I used an 8gig but don't remember the exact minimum) even if it doesn't need the update, maybe it'll kick in the butt...
  6. I'm not sure about the iPhone, my Android seems to be ok with it. I've read that Waze doesn't work well or doesn't work at all with the iPhone. That might change with the next version of iOS... My guess is that because Waze is owned by Google, that might be one reason it doesn't work (well).
  7. I"m not sure how well it looks with Carplay, but with Android Auto, the maps are not useful at all, except when I need to use my voice to navigate. I wish the built in had voice recognition like my old Kenwood 990hd
  8. Hmmm, odd, CarPlay doesn't support WAZE ? I can use it with Android Auto
  9. Not sure if this is good in your country, but , www.naviextras.com
  10. well I'd say that because your 8000 is now 2 years old, and that the hardware to support it probably was not in that model, I'd say he's right. I really doubt that you'll see an update to allow for what you want. That being said, if you don't 'really' need them, then keep what you have.
  11. Call Pioneer, you'll probably have to send it in, hopefully it's under warranty
  12. Although it would take having 2 bluetooths in a stereo and phone (each), they could do it over BT, so you wouldn't have to even plug in (if you had wireless charging)
  13. Yea, for AA it seems to be about the same.... sometimes it's there right away, sometimes it takes about 5 minutes before it connects.... I think it has to do with how the Unit boots up... I've seen my 8100 take a few seconds to be fully ready, and other times it's a couple minutes...
  14. I know that for Android Auto, when you press the volume buttons to the right you'll see the 'Alerts' button and that will adjust the volume for AA, might work for Siri too
  15. I'd say you havn't done either as you don't know aht they are... that being said, try downloading the latest update, even if it's the same as what you have and see if you can install it, if it works great, if not, also try updating the Maps, see if that helps... otherwise you may have to send it to Pioneer A reset of the whole thing might also help....
  16. Glad that worked... 2 weeks worth of frustration for me, but I'm glad it works.... although I don't like AppRadio, so I dont use it...
  17. Yes, the ONLY thing should be in the USB stick is that folder
  18. I had the Kenwood 990HD before this, and I"d say that half of the things it was supposed to do never worked or worked very poorly, so I"m used to manufacturers BS Oddly enough Kenwood did come out with an update about 1 year after their last one to 'fix bugs' although I didn't see much difference other than they took away one small feature and made a nice update for the volume control... just as a side note... I've posted more here than you have...
  19. I looked at Pioneers site, doesn't look like it is supported.... If you found a site that talks about a 'hack' for it to do that, then you risk it.... Not sure what you mean or if there is actually a question there about the break bypass....
  20. Its possible... I'd guess that Pioneer hasn't given access to Maestro that they need to add that feature... I do know that the new 8200 (and possibly the others) are now 100% compatible, could be a hardware thing, could be lazyness on Pioneers part..... lets hope they can update the earlyer units
  21. You might have to send it in, but try putting the Update on a USB stick like you did on the SD card, and see if it finishes
  22. No, you see those as an OEM from the car manufacturer usually. I can tell you that any camera will work, I kept the Kenwood camera I had (the one that can switch angles , I forget the number) and it works just fine... because it has a button I can still use the angles... but the lines are static
  23. I agree, it would be nice if someone would write a script/app that could take the voice commands from AndroidAuto/CarPlay and send them to the Navi. I'm not a fan of the video output from AA (and I'm sure it's the same with CarPlay) as it looks way to washed out. Very hard to read at a glance as opposed to the Navi from the 8100 I have. THough I'm not a programmer, I can't imagine that it's very hard to set that up. I'm sure the only thing keeping it from happening is Google/iGo
