  1. Dude! Effing sell it already then! I hate to be honest with YOU, but my unit works, and let me say this slowly for you, P-E-R-F-E-C-T-L-Y. All I'm living with is a great aftermarket headunit that lets me voice command my iPod, talk on my Bluetooth phone hands-free, plays AM/FM, HD radio, XM satellite, navigation and play movies WHILE I DRIVE! If yours doesn't then get rid of it, burn it, throw it off a bridge, use it as a doorstop, WHATEVER! But quit acting so butthurt and stop whining about it! Plenty of us have had either no problems or very little! The fact that your unit is so

    new update

You can't be serious. Why does the IPOD not work at startup half the time then? Why are there no music titles on the SD card screen? Why does the SD card start over everytime the power comes on? Why does the IPOD lose connection for no reason whatsoever? Stop talking about things you have NO idea about.
  3. **** NO. This thing is JUNK and I would return it for refund if I could.
  4. My 80gb doesn't turn off by itself. Ever. I been watching it everytime I shut off the car and the damn thing is still powered on.
  5. Dude, same here. Stupid IPOD works for a week, then isn't recognized at bootup for days at a time, and resetting the headunit and IPOD doesn't help. What's with the IPOD staying on when the unit shuts off too? Is it supposed to be like that???
  6. This thing is still crap. Sorry to be honest with those people who are happy with it, but it still has MAJOR problems. You are just living with the problems if they don't bother you. Before 2.0 update, the IPOD would just drop out completely and give the error message that it lost connection. Now with 2.0, the friking thing half the time isn't even recognized at bootup. You have to unplug the cable and reconnect it to get it working. I have already reported Pioneer to the better business bureau and they have attempted to call me twice but I was not available at the phone. Also what
  7. My IPOD 80gb all of a sudden will not work on bootup of the F90 whereas it would work for a week at a time. Once it stops working, it will CONSTANTLY not work at bootup. I'll have to unplug and re-plug the cable and it pisses me off to no end. I am amazed that pioneer was able to release this product to the public.
  8. well crap I am back where we started. Mine now doesn't work half the time when the unit boots up. I cannot believe how crappy this thing is. Even a hard reset doesn't work for me anymore.
  9. Vista is not the issue, it works fine. Get WINRar and you're set.
  10. Go to the XDA Developers forums. One guy used this link and says it's WM6.1 http://www.mediafire.com/?4gxsdxh1tmm (I haven't tested that link so I can't verify that it's WM6.1), I got mine off the XDA forums a while back and flashed it. I've had 6.1 on mine for over a year now.
  11. Try hard rebooting both the IPOD and the headunit, it might help. Mine is back to normal now. I did figure out if you press any buttons on the headunit and the IPOD doesn't respond, you are probably on the way to losing connection. It did this to me a couple of times and when it did I just changed sources right away before it could freak out.
  12. I have your exact phone with Windows Mobile 6.1, the newest Bluetooth firmware, and it works perfect except for the contacts.
  13. Totally incorrect and wrong information. I ONLY use a micro-SD adapter in mine and it works perfectly as long as all SD cards are formated FAT32.
  14. My SD card is loaded with songs that have titles and album art but they just show up as dashes on the display. Anyone else?
  15. I thought everything was working better until today when my 80gb IPOD locked up completely. I had to hard reset it. Now everytime I power on the F90 it doesn't see the IPOD until I disconnect and reconnect the cable. Wow am I glad I spent my money on this POS.
  16. My treo750 only shows my quick dial numbers as contacts.
  17. So after the 2.0 update I thought all the issues with the IPOD were fixed. Now the thing froze up once and and locked up the IPOD. Next thing that happened is now everytime I start up the unit the IPOD is disconnected. I have to disconnect it from the cable and reconnect it... jesus this thing sucks.
  18. I have a TREO 750 the same issue as you do. Only the quick dials transfer over. Welcome to another broken issue with this crappy product.
  19. I disagree. Boot time at 30 seconds is hardly "unacceptable", and that being a 30-35% improvement over the original is great. Buttons didn't seem laggy to me, either. I'm pretty happy with 2.0 so far. Can it be improved more? Sure it can. Let's hope Pioneer keep delivering the goods. What you find acceptable and someone else is different. I don't know how you can call 30 seconds of waiting acceptable when other systems are ready immediately. That is poor planning, poor design, and a poor product.
  20. Boot time is faster, still unacceptable at 30 seconds. No other navigation system takes 30 seconds to boot. Buttons are still laggy for a long time after bootup. Overall, not a major improvement, except for cutting some time off of the boot.
  21. What did you pay for it? I assume not the 900+ that I did? No, $620 is what I gave for mine.
  22. I think the current state of this product is ridiculous, and therefore I am going to present the better business bureau and Pioneer Electronics with the below peition. Could everyone please sign it and state all your issues. It would really help. If this could also be a sticky, I would appreciate it. http://www.petitiononline.com/PIONFNAV/petition.html
  23. I agree this unit is a poor poor excuse for a product and we need to file a class action lawsuit against Pioneer for this thing. I find more and more wrong with it everyday. Now I got the IPOD CONNECTION FAILED notice. I thought i was going to get away with not having that problem but it happened twice yesterday.
  24. If your unit is rebooting with the antenna installed then you have a serious problem. If you haven't already, I recommend you install Pioneer's update and see if that corrects your problem.
