  1. Hmm, if you have an alternate launcher installed and have adjusted the image size (page 112 of manual) then you should be good to go. I use Nova on my Note 4 & Note 4 Edge. I use Apex on my S5.
  2. Installz1, Whatever music app is running on your phone when it connects via BT to your radio is what will be searchable. Google Music is not searchable via BT so make sure it's not running upon BT connection. I'm using Poweramp but there are others that'll work just as well. If you're having trouble getting it to work, try turning off your vehicle, reboot your phone, open the music app of your choice then restart your vehicle.
  3. With AVRCP 1.4, I can browse via BT just fine with my S5, Note 4 & Note 4 Edge. I haven't tried with my S4.
  4. While your Maxx HD is connected, press the home button on the radio, press on the gears in the upper right corner, press on the button for system (wrench/screwdriver), press input/output settings and then press appradio video adjustment. Make your up/down/left/right adjustments, press preview and if your satisfied, press done. Adding pics is as easy as copying a link from an outside website. I use PhotoBucket but there are many others to choose from.
  5. Nexus 6 doesn't support Slimport or MHL so you'll need to cast with Chromecast, Netgear PTV3000, etc.
  6. Yes, the 300 works with the 7000nex.
  7. I would go back to the installer and make them aware of the problem so they can repair it. I'd also ask them how the radio was installed. ie: what brand harness was used, what steering wheel interface was used, was the factory amp bypassed or integrated. If the amp was integrated, how was it done, was the parking brake bypassed, we're ALL connections soldered?
  8. Coupe or sedan? If coupe, was the factory amp bypassed or was it integrated? If sedan, was an aftermarket amp installed? (EX sedans don't come with a factory amp) The 'static' that you're hearing, is it more of a hiss and does it increase as the engines RPM increases? If so, it's being caused by a poor ground.
  9. Info from the HFL is used for the iMid. It is handled by pin 25 of the HFL connector and is a B can function. Your HFL module was disconnected when your 5000/MRR was installed. Unfortunately, there is no aftermarket module (that I'm aware of) for Honda's with Pioneer radios that allows us to keep 100% of the functions we had with our original radios. You lost some iMid info, I lost the ability to control my automatic climate control via voice. I'm curious as to why your installer used the MRR with your 5000. The MSW would have provided the same functions as the MRR at almost hal
  10. There are mic wires going to the radio but they're not the ones you need. You need to find the HFL (Bluetooth) module. Carefully remove the shifter garnish to locate it.
  11. That's not the HFL connector. Just a guess but that looks like the 20 pin radio connector. This is what the HFL module looks like.
  12. Because TW doesn't display in landscape well, I'm using Google Now Launcher from the Play Store. Some use Nova, others use Apex.
  13. The app I'm using is called AppRadio Unchained Reloaded. (paid app that requires root) I access Google Now by swiping my radios screen or by saying "Ok Google". (I have a Note 4 and use Google Now Launcher)
  14. While I'm looking forward to seeing exactly what Android Auto will offer, its still a long way off. In the meantime... [/url]
  15. Can you take a pic of your 14 CR-V HFL 28 pin connector and post it? The pic below is the 28 pin connector from an 09-11 Civic. If you look closely, you'll notice that molded into the connector is pin 1 on the upper right. My Civic schematics show this as being pin 14 while my 11-12 CR-Z schematics show it as being pin 1. In a nut shell, pins 12, 13, 14 are the same as pins 3, 2, 1. Because your 14 CR-V uses the same 28 pin connector that Honda/Acura has been using for at least a decade now, and the 12-14 CR-V HFL module has TAO (fist used in the Accord) in the part number, I'm wi
  16. No problem always glad to help when I can. The required jack is a 2.5mm mono type. I'm sure your wire colors at the Handsfreelink module will be different colors, but for anyone else wanting to use the Honda OEM mic in a Civic or CR-Z can do so by using the following pins at the Handsfreelink 28 pin connector. 09-11 Civic: pin 13 (yellow +) and 14 (brown -) Pin 12 is shield. 11-12 CR-Z: pin 1 (blue +) and pin 2 (pink -) Pin 3 is shield.
  17. I'm using the OEM mic from my 09 Civic with a 7000nex. This is the same mic found in the 14 CR-V. In order do so I cut the mic wires at the 28 pin Handsfreelink module connector and added a mini jack from Radio Shack to those wires. Works great and I'm told it sounds better than the Pioneer mic.
  18. Nope, the U & Z 130BT use a different connector vs the 5000-8000NEX. The main difference is where the 12v constant and ground wire pins are located in the connector For the U & Z 130 they're on the right and for the 5000-8000NEX they're on the left.
  19. I had this same problem when I installed my 7000 last week. In my case, it turned out to be a defective SWI-CP5 steering wheel control interface.
