there has to be a fix for it, but looks like there is no fix for it currently, at least i cant find it on this forum.

mine is doing the same thing and it happened when i had to jump another car with a dead battery. any resolution to this would be greatly appreciated!!!!

i cant get into test mode, i dont see the pioneer logo screen on startup, its just a blank screen, please help. ive update from 2.0 to 3.0 and 3.01 before.

i have a F90bt and it was running fine until i jumped a friend's car which had a dead battery. now it starts up, all the buttons light up and then the lights go out. nothing on the screen every shows up, it stays blank. the unit is ON but screen is blank and none of the buttons do anything. any ideas?

i did a re-install of 3.0002 and for me its working fine now. if you have the 3.0 software, re-install it. if not, i can throw it on a dvd for u. pm me.

i did the same thing, i removed the 4 GPS files, didnt solve the problem. i then reverted back to 2.0 , it didnt solve the problem either. im at a loss.

I followed these directions EXACTLY as directed and I am still having the same black screen after the splash screen issue. Except now it doesnt keep rebooting, it just goes to the black screen. Anyone else have the same issue? How did your resolve it?

did you place the "testmode" folder itself on the sd card or the contents? if you place the contents, you wont be able to proceed into testmode, speaking from experience.

oh mannn.... looks like thats my issue as well. i am stuck at step 9, i put the contents of the "testmode" folder on the sd card, not the "testmode" folder itself. looks like that will solve my problem. after updating the firmware and resetting, the splash screen comes up and then the unit simply turns off. i will try it again tonight. hopefully that works.

i think i need to revert back to 2.0 and then update to 2.008. edit: looks like from reading the directions in the first post, the system will be reloaded with 2.006? can i do this if i have 3.001? edit: also, will i have to use the winceimg.bin and winceimg.cks files from the 3.001? or can i use the files from the 2.006 that i download?

i have v3.0 running. can i follow this procedure or is it specific to v2.xx?

same problem here as the above posters. i cant get past the splash screen for it to boot into test mode off the sd card. how would one do that?

mine has been doing this (rebooting from the splash screen) for the past 2 weeks, been busy so havent had time to troubleshoot. but this morning it booted normally and i had some tunes for the drive into work. after i turned the car off, i tried to start it back up and it kept happening again. hopefully the above instructions will help me, i will update.

can i do this install using a USB flash drive? or does it have to be SD card?

um you should be able to fit all required files onto ONE 2GB SD card... be sure you disable hidden files... maybe there is a hidden file in there thats taking up the space? This is what I did: I had the WINCE files on the root of the SD card And the TestMode folder containing the small files required for testmode to work. then I made a folder called "My flash Disk" so I know which files to copy and then I dropped the torrent files into this folder... be sure you're only copying these files into the avic's "my flash disk"..... make sense? all the files total are just under 2GB so

looks like we have a problem... i hope i didnt brick it. i only have a 2GB sd card and i was going back and forth between the pc and the car to update and when i go back inside to load it with the 1.59GB sd3 data load, for some reason, it runs out of space at around 995MB. its a 2GB card and i formatted it! i tried a few times and it still thinks it only has about 1GB space on it. can i start all over again once i have a new SD card or is the system bricked? i get a blank screen after the pioneer logo screen. any help will be greatly appreciated...

what does this mean? SD 2: TestMode 2.3 - 1.65MB ( Must be in a testmode folder) "must be in a testmode folder" also, does it have to be untarred first?
