  1. Check the voltage level on the constant wire when the truck is cranking. If it drops low enough, then the avic will reset causing the cali issue. It could also be a poor connection on the constant/ ground wires. The other way to check for the voltage drop as the problem would be to remove the constant and ground leads for the avic from the h2's harness, and hook them up to an outboard battery or other 12volt source. IF the system no longer resets during crank then you found the problem. Gonna have to find a battery that has higher cranking amp capacity than the battery currently in the ve

  7. Guess it's time for me to chime in here before this turns into an efight. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Making multiple identical posts, replying to another thread, and a separate post as in this case, I'm not a big fan of. Once is enough, now posting a link to a thread you made is fine. As for the topic of this thread, it's an interesting approach for those that don't want to pay for xm service to get the same thing. Well I think you need nav traffic too, but don't quote me. So lets keep it civil people. If you want to get into a post count war though, I think I win
  8. It wont cause any problems. I have done that on more cars than I care to count. If it concerns you that much get a relay and wire it up like this. pin 85 - Power antenna lead from avic. pin 86 - Ground pin 87 - +12v pin 30 - power antenna lead in scooby doo harness.

  11. If it's a d1 or d2 there are 2 slots. One says cd next to it one says dvd. THere's no hybrid d1/2 they all have 2 slots. THe face should be completely horizontal when you hold the open button for 2 seconds. If it doesn't do that, then theres something wrond with the face. Either it's being jammed by something or the motor is going. This is halfway opened. http://www.jasonhilton.us/d1/DSC02282.JPG
  12. hold the open button for 2 seconds. THe display will drop all the way down. The nav disc goes in the lower slot.
  13. Are you putting the nav disc in the lower slot?
  14. Should be able to. Don't quote me though. I've seen 1 n4 and wasn't paying too close attention to the harnesses.
  15. The metra pieces also give reverse, vss, and parking brake leads at the radio. FYI only the chrysler interface has the plug for the steering wheel controls. The GM PAC and metra harnesses don't have the ability to plug in the steering controls. The steering interface is wired at the column harness not the radio harness.
  16. You know there is a specific forum for posts like this right? And you don't need to make 3 separate posts either.
  17. Simple, you can't upload anything of that nature. the only thing that can be "uploaded" to the d3 is custom pictures.

  22. Blue/white wire of avic harness must be connected to the blue or blue/white wire in the hyundai harness for your car.
  23. That's only half what you need. You'll also neeed the pioneer adaptor for it, and it's doubtful that the interface will be any different than the pnr2 Why would they make a new tuner, and make two different pieces for it and it is no better than the old one? Hell if I know. I just put the crap in. I don't decide how what's made and how it works.
