  1. I got this message installing a bad CNDV-90MT West disk, I tried everything including getting into the service menu, no luck. I sent my D3 to Same Day Audio Repair Service in Virginia (ebay seller "rch72") on Friday Feb. 5 and received it back on Friday Feb. 13. Total cost $102 plus shipping to them. Got a full test/diagnostic report back with it along with a set of burned CNDV-90MT disks that work perfectly. The unit works perfectly now. I can't say enough about these folks, they did a great job and called me several times during the process to let me know how it was going. Unfort
  2. Can you hear the cooling fan running? If so, verify that nothing is blocking the inlet.
  3. The RCA's alone won't drive a speaker. You need to plug them into an amplifier and then let the amplifier drive the speaker.
  4. The D3's cooling fan is fairly noisy, that may be the whine that you are hearing.
  5. Which model head unit do you have and what version did you upgrade from? I have a D3 and upgraded from CNDV-80MT, I did not notice any of the improvements that you did.
  6. I wouldn't expect any firmware updates for the D3. Pioneer will continue to sell map upgrades, but all R&D efforts are focused on current and future models.
  7. If you still need one PM me. I think I have a few burned East disks (working) laying around. I won't rip you off by selling them to you, but you pay Priority Mail shipping cost. Fair?
  8. I have my BT between the D3 and the XM unit. I haven't tried it any other way and mine works fine. I don't think it matters though as both devices have a iPBus passthrough.
  9. I'd look into anger management therapy Also, http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/mod ... Num=AVICD3
  10. You need the Pioneer cable to control the ipod from the D3. So you need the 2 cables to do what you want.
  11. Is the Nav DVD in the unit when this happens?

    Route Pause?

You could always find the POI you are going to and add it to the route
  13. I believe that oval is the IR sensor for the Pioneer remote. Not sure if it will work with anything else.
  14. Did you register it with the D3? Simply pairing it isn't good enough. Also check to make sure the power and ground are hooked up to the bluetooth module.
  15. You may want to PM a mod to get this moved to the F-Series forum, this is the D-Series forum. Sorry I can't be of more help.
  16. Bring up 'Settings' in the Navigation menu, you should be able to toggle Demo Mode on and off there. Did you not get an Operation Manual with the D3?
  17. No they are two separate things. If you do the bypass correctly it will work regardless of the status of the speed pulse.
  18. Is the TV Out (I think that's what its called) enabled on the ipod?
  19. Vandal, Thanks again for all that you do with this. I did notice that on my D3, the categories all have logos now, but not the intended ones. I did a quick check this morning and it looks like this: Rock (icon works) Christian (icon works) Country (icon works) Pop (icon works) More Music (has Hip-Hop "Urban" logo) Traffic/Weather (Urban) Religion (Urban) Entertainment (Urban) Comedy (Urban) Sports (Urban) Talk/News (Urban) Family & Health (Urban) Classical (Urban) Latin/World (Urban) Dance/Electronic (Urban) Jazz/Standards (Urban) Hip-Hop/R&B (icon works)
  20. I don't believe this is possible on the D3, you can only select one A/V source at a time.
  21. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pio/p ... al0221.pdf Took like 2 minutes to find.
  22. I've had no issues with the BT on my D3, keep in mind that there is an external module BTB-200 that handles this through the IP-Bus cable. Voice quality and functionality has been excellent for me.
