hey thanks for answering the question I posted regarding this for almost a month now. I have kids in the back so I control a great deal (answer phone, place call, change station, av, activate voice, etc) on my Z3 with the CD SR1. This is a deal breaker for me unfortunately. I will simply just stay with the Z3. Thanks again for answering this question.

I'm sure this is of no avail, but I wanted to see if the New Z will have IR capabilities so I can control the unit from my steering wheel controller (IR version)...Have two kids and don't want to take my eyes off the road when I have to answer a call, change the songs, etc. Thanks for any info.

Great coverage, Does anyone know if the avic Z110BT will have an ir remote compatibility. I currently have the Z3 with the steering wheel ir remote attachment and have become accustomed to using this feature...(2 little ones in the back seat so have to keep focused on the road at all times.) I bought a Z1 on ebay for 600 and upgraded the drive through a member named garretmooney and paid 130 shipped. Total...for Z3 $730. Its just a thought.

What happens when you keep your finger on the eject button on the outside (bottom left corner), the initial button you used to have the screen open? I had a similar problem with a D2 I had a few years ago and what helped was to keep my finger on the small eject button for 5 seconds...Of course, I had to eventually return the system but may be temporary panacea.

I simply try something out, get bored with it and sell it on ebay or craigslist. So far, I have not gotten tired of my Z1 upgraded to Z3...except for the sluggish ipod interface. Got the f series in my wife's car..she loves it. and sold the others...didnt make profit, just went even so no loss and lots of personalized hands-on education about installation, wiring, troubleshooting, etc. So it was no problem here. So I think i am somewhat qualified to give an accurate assessment or opinion of the two units since I have tried all of them.

The f90 bt with 2.0 firmware upgrade has better looking map (IGo software I believe), voice recognition ipod interface...love it (in wife's car), and msn traffic. So its all based on what youre looking for. Oh, the f90 is easier to install, doesnt have all the separate additives such as bluetooth modules, ipod modules, etc. Hope this helps.

no disrespect, but i know it can be created. I honestly put my Z3 back in the main car because of that issue along with others. Someday, someone, possibly from this forum will make that happen. Til then lets keep making our wishes known to Pioneer.

You will love the functionality of the IPOD with the F series. I have seen a USB connection with a Hard Drive on a friend's and noticed how hard it was to navigate. With an IPOD, you can go directly to the specific artist using VR or touchscreen, either way much easier than opening up various folders and after the song is over, trying to go to the next desired artist.

I simply told the lady from XM that I heard that you are providing service for 77/a year and she granted it no questions asked. I guess its available for everyone to use.

I ended up getting a 90bt through ebay and the live 30% off for 500.00 but at least Circuit City is an authorized dealer so you won on that deal..

Is the a steering wheel remote for the F series that works with IR instead of PAC swap.

I have the Sprint Mogul and it rings fine. I made sure I set the ringer low and mute for music. I know the yellow black wire is for additional muting for an additional parrot bluetooth module so its not that.

Just installed the F90bt...Bootup is still long but it is better from the last time I remember. It did reboot randomly so I will test it out tomorrow and report back.

I had a honda Accord and the manual was helpful or check some of the online honda forums.

I just installed the f90bt with the 2.0 update already on there. Just wanted to see why my system rebooted as I took a ride around the block? Also, do I need to connect the blue antennae wire from the radio's power harness to anything? Thanks for any help.

You should use the ipod video RCA cables, plug them in video input 1 and make sure you have you screen set for enabling video input
