1. 400$ installiation? That seems rather excessive... Cost me 150
2. Yeah I actually figured that out when I was driving before, thanks. I was way too tired when I read that before, I thought you said second button from the left.
3. Paisan: That button for me is "Band", not "PGM", and it doesn't cause the time to be displayed.
4. No, there is no DVD changer that allows you to run the nav disk from it. You can buy a DVD changer and have several music DVDs in it, but unfortionately not the maps.
5. Nobody can answer any of the rest of my questions?
6. First, how do I display the time on the small display when the screen is closed? Second, is there a way for me to search for a specific POI by distance? For example, if I wanted to find the closest starbucks to my current position, or closest washington mutual etc... Third, I don't think the place I got my n3 installed at hooked up the connection to switch the avic into night mode when I turn the headlights on. I can't make it back there for another week or two but I'll have them take care if it. In the meantime, how come when I switch in the map display options between day mode and ni
7. Mine never switches between day/night mode at all, I'm probably going to bring it back to the place where I got it installed and have them look at it.
8. I have a 6 CD changer hooked up to my n3, but I can't figure out how to display the song titles on the small display when the screen is closed. All it shows is the disc number and track number. I can't figure out how to display it. Its a little thing and its not going to bother me too much, but it was just something I like seeing when the screen is closed.
9. I have the voice command kit on my n3, and the voice commands automatically activate so I just have to say "OK" when turning on the car.
10. No but they should be shamed for not making a decent BT unit for the avics.
11. I'm looking for the menu display where it shows all the devices connected to the system (I have a n3). Right now all I can find is a menu which will have three buttons displayed in the middle: Audio, Function (and whatever source I currently have playing) and Setup. I want the screen that shows all of them, how do I access it? And am I actually making any sense?
12. Well after some use, I have to admit that the voice rec is better than I expected. Its certainly not perfect (apparently "Sirius" sounds like "Gas Station") but its good enough. I mean, theres really nothing on the voice command list that I can't easily do with the remote anyway, its more to show off. I like the remote, although I can't figure out what the top button of the remote does, the one that says audio, and has navigation in smaller letters on top.
13. He said that he was using somebody elses picture...
14. Well it looks like its a step up from the garbage nav unit that chrysler has been putting out (The RB1) but still not as good as the AVICs.
15. Hold down the src button
16. So is this problem just affecting the n1s, or is it happening to all the N series?
17. Some people have said that pioneer's backup camera isn't that great. Is this true, and if so do people have any recommendations for good cameras to use instead?
18.
I've always loved Russian propaganda posters so...
Man you just made my day. My friends all thing I'm weird because I hang russian propaganda posters up. I'm not a communist, I just think they're awesome posters. I'd like to see some Jeep backgrounds, surprised nobodys made any. I"ll try to throw a few together myself but unfortionately I usually don't come up with anything good. I'd also like to see some christmas backgrounds in a blue/green color scheme.
19. I'm fairly decent in photoshop/fireworks technically, but I'm not too good with creative ideas. I'm just trying to come up with something using the Jeep logo. Anyone have any ideas?
20. I just got the VC1 I ordered in the mail. Man pioneer's site made this thing look so much bigger. What a tiny remote. I can't decide if its a good or a bad thing.
21. When you flip the switch it bypasses the safety lockout that prevents you from adjusting the nav destination and watch DVD movies when the car is in motion.
22. Um if they're in .jegs format I think that could be your problem...
