    No, they wont give you that 1 year warranty. Also, this is the 3rd generation product, with the D1 being the first.

    Good stuff. Remember to disconnect your battery before installing it. I was an idiot when I first did it since I didnt want to re-enter my security system code. So I ended up blowing a fuse or two instead.

    make sure to not go off track of the route that is loaded into the memory. It will ask you to reinsert the map dvds.

    looking good! but i think the others on this site have said that none of the current hacks work right now on the D3(grounding it and such). Hopefully soon someone will reveal the hack.

    yeah make sure you have the correct wire/ connection. It should not stay at zero while you are moving. The faster you drive, the higher the number.

    take your car for a drive, the speed pulse should not be zero when you are on that screen and moving. Nope, there isnt something that says if your VSS is hooked up.

    i forget which tab it is, but its located somewhere in teh addition information tab. Same place where you get the reception/ parking break engaged info. it says something like speed pulse.

    that is really fucked up! Don't do that, because then the person who buys it next will be the one who is screwed. Not the man. If you want to stick it to the man, steal the D unit from him.

    you will have to do the bypass if you want to use the navigation at anytime. However, we dont know the bypass yet for teh D3, so until then, you just have to pull over with your ebrake engaged.

    what 07 car is it? If it is one with a simple dash, it is pretty easy to do yourself. Plus you will gain a lot of valuable experience.

    you could probably buy a replacement part at pioneer. It will most likely run you 30-50 dollars for that piece.

    Since the D3 is out and has newer maps, we are thinking you could use that to update the D1, but we are not sure.

    hmm... i havent read of any of teh Z1 people switching out their unit for the D3. I wouldn't for sure, because there is a software update coming out for the Z1 soon enough. The only people who i have heard of swtiching their units for a D3 were D1/D2 people adn some people with the N series.

    quick question... Where did you get that custom dash bezel, and where do you relocate the 12 volt cigarette lighter? To answer your question, yes it is an exact same fit, which is double din. Anything qualifying as double din should fit in your custom dash.
