thats what I do to hide my Z1. I also have tinted windows. When I am in a ghetto neighborhood, I usually use my steering lock with alarm and a brake lock. My 3000GT SL is an AUTOI and has a fat shift stick popping up which blocks anyone from taking the Z1 quite nicely

Happens to me all the time if the exit is running exactly parallel. I thought the z1 would be more accurate too, but I guess not. Does any one else have this problem? It doesnt bother me too much though.

damn i guess i meant thats the easiest way without getting all fancy. Maybe I am just old fashioned. I am also interested on how you would do that.

is it because the exit is running parallel to the exit?

i think you either have to mute it before you leave or turn the av source off. Maybe I am wrong, but i thought that was the only way.

you hook it up the the POWER harness, which also contains the wires for the speaker hookup. The rca harness is for things like back up cameras and other things like video output or input.

people found that creating smaller playlists helped. What they did was have a playlist for A - Z. SO 26 playlists. They listed them byt artist into each of the categories. They said it took an hour or two to do that but the time saving factor in the car was well worth it.

do you have a turbo or nonturbo 300zx. I am going to guess nonturbo. No one ever has a turbo 3000gt/supra/300zx

Also, when you are wiring up your car, please make sure to either disconnect the batteries, or the fuses that feed power to your radio. You do not want to see any sparks occur or you will blow some fuses. Just saving you the headache of finding out that you finished the install but it doesnt work because you blown a fuse.

how much are you willing to spend> there are a couple people here who i have read were going to dump their N3 for the new D3 or Z2. perhaps you can purchase it off of some of them for a reduced price.

yes that is possible. Make sure you get a two-single din bezel to make it look nice. There will be about a .5 gap in between the drives so the divider in the two-single din bizel should have a plastic divider to cover the gap. So i guess my PMs didnt help much but if you are concerned over pricing, why not get a D3? I has Divx, bigger screen, can play mp3s on dvds (for you big music fan) and so forth. One of the biggest advantages is that the pioneer is able to display much more mapping data, as opposed to your JVC/Garmin so forth. The maps are pretty simple on the smaller units, so you probably wont have to look at them much because there is nothing to see! The JVC does have some nice features like 1 million points more of POIs but it also includes more areas into the Unit. Pioneer has 12 mill (z2) for canada

Did you get that struct bar off of ebay? Looks like the metal pipe ones they sell off of ebay for 10bucks. They dont work as well as the flat metal bar ones. I dont know where you can still find an N1. You should probably spring for the N3 (newer maps) and do the bypass (requires solding and opening up the unit)

no it has "volatile memory" or some such junk they call it in the manual it should say so you don't have to reprogram BEST PART You mean NON volatile memory. Volatile memory is like RAM, lose everything when you disconnect the power.
