  1. OK, follow this exaclty and it should work. 1.Copy the perfect, fresh copy of data.zip to the SD card. 2.Open the DATA.zip with WINRAR. Extract the file you want to edit to the desktop. Make the changes and save the file. 3.Delete the file you extracted from DATA.zip (through WINRAR). 4.Drag the file you saved on your desktop to the DATA.zip (through WINRAR). 5.Save....done
  2. Nope, that is the only "stock" way to do it. There are many mods out there that put a stop route, mute, and many more buttons to the nav screen. You will have to do a lot of searching and reading on how to do this. It is all on this site.
  3. Hell yeah, its like christmas!! Man am I a loser!! Ordered on 7/4, shipped 8/7. 2 day shipping. I will let you all know when I get it!

What firmware, for which unit, and where is the link? Learn how to post in a forum you moron.
  6. How did the files come back? I have no idea where to go from here......sorry!
  7. FIX: Boot in test mode Go to \My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo\CONTENT\VOICE\ Delete all the files that have the word TTS in them. I had four I deleted, and 3 other files remained. I then booted normal, and installed the TTS just like the firmware instructions tell you to (In the 2.0 update from the pionner website), and then samantha was back. Let us know if this works.
  8. Please let us know what you have done, and if anything works.....was there a firmware update for your phone?
  9. After doing the BT firmare, make sure to reset your AVIC unit by pressing the little reset button with a pin, and make sure to reset your phone by pulling out the battery. You will also want to check if there is a firmware upgrade for your phone. The AVIC unit uses Parrot bluetooth, so it's really not pioneers fault. If the phone still does not work, you are screwed and will have to live with it! On a side note, I have had a ROZR, iphone, and one other phone i cant remember working on this unit just fine. There is a new version 3.0 that is coming out soon. Search this site fo
  10. This is a common issue that you would have seen if you used the search button......anyway.....Go to this link and try both bluetooth software updates. Try the primary first, then the alternative. Each time you will have to pair your phone again. This may or may not solve your problem. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... 90BT?tab=F
  11. This was covered about 8 trillion times. The 2.0 update fixes this. Use the search button to find the answer!
  12. Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but that setting should stick unless you hit the reset button. Are you losing your preset stations as well? If so, it sounds like you are losing power completely when you turn off the car.
  13. How to load an image: USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION ON THIS WEBSITE....IT HAS BEEN COVERED A HUNDRED TIMES!!!!!!! LAZY ASS
  14. Buy a computer that works with everything....like a PC
  15. You have to have the parking brake up to have these buttons work, or have the parking break wire grounded
  16. See the instructions for the "Compass/Detour Mod" in this thread (it's the 3rd or 4th post): http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19864 I did look at this, but with the data.zip file from keeper, I do not see that line, as he put in a custom compass (which rocks!!)
  17. I have another favor to ask, I would like to press the compass and have the itinerary pop up. I cannot figure out how to do it. Can you post "find" and "replace" code so this can work?? Thanks in advance! Also, how can I keep the buttons showing, I do not want the hide option.
  18. Please look at the pic I need to know the coordinates or lines of code for the "stop" and the "mute" icon from this picture. The data file that Lava had up is no longer up. I have keepers file which is great, but the stop/mute are blocked by the ipod cover art.
  19. That is great. I would love to know when you have it ready for download
  20. OK, I am an idoit. I did not see the bluetooth update was a seperate update file!! I was so giddy to install the update to notice!
  21. After updating the 2.0 error and folowing the instructions perfectly, I went to the next step and got this error "Bluetooth software is not found. Please put it on SD/USB. Any ideas? I reformatted the SD card and loaded the update on it again, but no joy.
  22. I was missing TTS all along. I also just installed 2.0 hoping it would come back but did not. Here is the fix that worked for me: Boot in test mode Go to \My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo\CONTENT\VOICE\ Delete all the files that have the word TTS in them. I had four I deleted, and 3 other files remained. I then booted normal, and installed the TTS just like the firmware instructions tell you to, and then samantha was back
