Gotcha-- thanks. Other people having this issue as well? Just trying to clear my mind that I have a problem, and this is an issue with the unit itself.

False. No wires should ever be "altered". At most, wires should be teed into, with the exception of the starter wire which may be CUT for starter-kill/anti-grind. All the remote starter does is hotwire the vehicle, it duplicates exactly what would happen as though you had turned the key. I have had my screen go unresponsive too, the only fix I was able to find was to reboot (cut and restore accessory power). Keep in mind, it is a computer on the inside, I'm sure we've all had to reboot our desktop computers before. Exactly what I had thought. Computers is my field and belie

I just recently got an automatic car starter installed, and since I have had a few problems with my F90bt. I only had this nav unit for a few weeks, so I can't necessarily say the automatic car starter has anything to do with it-- that's why I'm posting here. What happens is after I get in my car(after it has been started remotely), I put my key in and turn it to the on position, and I'm able to drive away. What I've had happen(not everytime too, this only happened 2 or 3 times out of the 10 or so times I've started the car remotely) is that my touch screen is unresponsive. Nothing wil

Trying to get this to work with the Stop nav code.. anyone using this one with it?
-
I'm not using that ZIP file. Just using the linear compass mod, so I would think it might be a different button name on there. Gonna try to experiment.
-
The code would probably be something like: if approaching_camera -display warning which contains: -play sound(certain interval) -OSD warning -mute/att AV source If we could just alter that code that is called when the camera is approaching, we could create our own notifications. Personally, I would like to hear one audible warning, preferably a recorded voice, alerting me that I am approaching the camera. The OSD isn't very distracting, but the constant beeps and lowering of music is.
-
Thanks. I tried simple warning, but it seems like there is no audible alert now? I only saw an on-screen warning. Ideally it would be nice for one sound to play and then go off.

Trying to recall which wires are open in the back.. Do they have female Yellow/Red/White coming from the rear?

I'm not sure if it's the hack for the street numbers, or the unit itself.. but the numbers are definitely off for me. I was directed to an address but the number was incorrect-- it was actually down the street a little. Also, parked outside my house the numbers don't line up, and on a street with #'s 1-40 I was outside #3 and it said #99. Is this because of the hack, or is this just bad map data on the unit itself?

So on "Simple" warning, is there no audible alert? I only had an on-screen warning. It'd be really nice to just have one single spoken alert instead of a continuous beep. It gets really annoying when you're listening to music and you're actually at the red light waiting for it to go green and all you hear is, beep....beep....beep...beep...

That will continue to happen unless you are zoomed in far enough, or you change the amount of POI's you have displayed.

Aha! That cable would surely do the trick for the frontal AUX input. What similar options do we have for connecting to the rear?
-
I'm using the linear compass mod.. I suppose I may have to alter the code a bit to get this to work?
-
Is there a way to change the way speedcams/lightcams alert you? The constant beeping is a little too much for me. It'd be great to just have one single audible alert: "You are approaching a camera". Is this something we could do?
-
Also, be sure to comment out the old compass code so they don't render that image over this hack as well.

Oh, I was thinking there was a way to pass an AV feed through the iPod cable with a different wire.
-
Interesting... So you could hook the Y adapter to the I-pod cable and that could send an A/V feed to the AVIC?
-
Doesn't the iPod cable itself transfer the audio/video feeds to the AVIC? I didn't think there was a separate video in?
-
Only cost me $400 for the unit, and N64 is only 12 years old. Where is the video-in?
-
I believe you could find an emulator that runs with Windows CE.. take a look around. The problem may be finding ROMs for that emulator, as it probably wouldn't be a popular one. But I do believe you can hook up to an external AV source?

Was interested in adding this myself. Won't we need those bmp files as well though? Also, does this change just the 3D compass, or the 2D compass as well?
-
Another way to speed up the system, cut down load times...

So does this actually make a difference? I would really think this is something Pioneer would tidy up if they're trying to make their unit faster. -
Was interested in this myself. But it might be complicated, as the knob probably has different functions depending on which menu you are in.

I've attached a car3d.bmp of an 08 Tiburon. I have a smaller version and a standard size. I've also altered the x= value in navigatemap_800_400 to a bit higher value. I believe my current value is x= 374. This centered the car image on the road a bit more. 08 Tiburon.rar
