  1. Another question? does it matter what order the 'imports' occur in the main.ui file? it's in the ui_pioneer/800_480/ui folder. The tc is near the end and I wonder if it matters where it is in the list.
  2. I need to know a couple of things if you guys have time. Do you have any files in your User/userdata/igo/logdata /gpslog folder or your user/userdata/igo/save/tracks folder. Mine are empty and I'm wondering if you need a file as a place holder for this. The friend that I helped with the 3.0 has yet to have his trip computer fail. I backed up all of my files and I'm trying to find a difference. There are a few files that are different but since I don't know what calls the tripcomputer I'm at a loss.
  3. not really, I kinda' got it where I wanted with the smartzoom. I will revisit this soon because I want to try some sky mods. I don't have any sky visible with my current tilt values but as soon as I tilt it, I lose street names. All of the schemes that I played with where for naught. These are some of the values that I played with... This is my current setup. [3d_config] roadsign_lines_per_screen=23 'This made the text smaller' [map] 2dheadup=1 zoomfactor=110 3d_tunnels=1 show_oneway=1 3d_max_tiltlevel=7100 3d_max_zoomlevel=1500 'The tiltlevel and zoomlevel are in combi
  4. I guess I have a few questions so that I can try to work on this... Where is the tripcomputer (.dll?) located or the files involved in running it? I've searched the x910bt files and haven't found anything that clearly says 'tripcomputer' or any derivative. Has anyone with the x910bt files had a problem with it running? I helped a friend with the upgrade and he reports that there has not been any problems with running it so far. Has anyone with the Pioneer 3.02 update have the tripcomputer working? if so, is it all of the time or partial or none? If your TC works all of the time
  5. thanks for saving me some time!
  6. I was wondering if both leads need to maintain 10.8+ volts? If the signal wire maintained 12v would the radio stay up even if the constant power wire dropped to less than 10.8? =
  7. Look for the post where there are 3 or 4 gps.para files that need to be deleted. I did this for a friend and it stopped him from having to send it back to Pioneer.
  8. If you are not having voltage drop problems try a time delay relay like this... http://www.drillspot.com/products/49670 ... elay_Relay . Otherwise you will need the setup listed in the AVIC.pdf. You could temporarily wire up your red lead to constant power and see if the radio still reboots when the car is started. From that you'll know which way to go.
  9. yesterday I used remote start and when I got in it was working. I will try this a few more times to see if I have something. It's possible that the way I start my truck has something to do with this. If the f90bt starts to boot when I turn the key to the 'on' position, then I start it, perhaps there's a flash read issue? Idunno you'd think that there would be other issues than just the TC not working if that was the case.
  10. I'll have to remember that, who'd a thunk it:-) I'm glad you got it fixed.
  11. All that I can think of is to blow it out with compressed air. Hold the can 6 inches back at first, you don't want to shoot air in at full blast unless you have to. Have you tried multiple sd cards? Canned air can also shoot a liquid 'vapor' when you first use it so be careful (have the power off when you spray it). Have you tried the reset button? Have you looked in the slot with a flashlight? Idunno after that...
  12. I've gone through several mods and resets and it's always the same. I use the IDT mods and I delete all of my user data each time I 'upgrade' to his latest mod. There is mention in your sys txt about default location. I just don't know the coordinates of my current location to change it. My default city is Columbus Ohio, about 110 miles away from my city.
  13. Has anyone compared the TC code with a base IGO 8.3 folder? I wonder if there's more to it than what we have? Is there anyone that has a TC that works everytime? What's your set up?
  14. Still works randomly for me. I am still wondering if there is a write code for the data generated by the tc. I do know that everytime I come out of testmode the tc works for one to three reboots/restarts. Then it quits.
  15. pioneers website under the downloads / updates section for the AVIC-X series. it will have the 3.01 update link. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support/CarAudioVideo/In-Dash/GPS-Navigation-Systems/ci.AVIC-X910BT.Support?tab=B Does this update WinCe too? Are there any modifications to the instructions or files in order to get this to work on an f90bt? thanks!
  16. I'll try it and let you know. The only prob is that my TC works randomly. I'll do it 5 to 10 times...
  17. This glitch was new for me too yesterday. Only the gps seemed to be tracking but it put me a couple of streets over and tried to follow them. It went away after a few minutes. I'm still on the 3.0v3 IDT though so it may have been solar flares or something...
  18. Hey IDT- This makes me want to ask... do you have the modified carver DLL file installed on you system to remove the warning nag? I wonder if that could be causing some of these tripcomp issues? i was thinking about it too, i don't have it installed as i don't mind pressing th ok screen, My TC was frozen with both .dlls. I'll try the nav screen reboots. I also +1 that the TC seems to work fine the 1st time out of testmode.
  19. Try Handbrake 0.93. just take one file and convert it to multiple formats then burn them all to one DVD to see which one works. It has a bunch of presets also.
  20. I'm still looking at it. I'm an avid motorcycle rider, so I haven't had much time in my truck. These are the modified settings that I am using with the extra Pioneer Blue Day schemes. 1) 2, 0, 30, 1000, 1000 2) 2, 0, 50, 1000, 1000 3) 2, 0, 70, 1000, 1000 4) 2, 0, 40, 600, 1000 5) 2, 0, 40, 750, 1000 6) 2, 0, 40, 900, 1000 7, 2, 0, 40, 1000, 1500 8, 0, 0, 40, 1000, 1000 9) 1, 0, 40, 1000, 1000 10) 2, 0, 40, 1000, 500 So far mode 10 has killed all labels regardless of zoom. All other modes have not shown much of a difference. I will post my sys.txt when I get home from work

    HELP

search for branding.zip, this is an awesome addition and has the poi icons you need. I found it in the 'Diaftia' keeper mod thread. He has instructions.
  22. let me know how it goes it turned out to be a coincidence... I'm still playing with street labels, I'll let you know if anything changes with the TC. I still wonder if there is a 'write command' or 'save folder' for TC data. I would think that in systems using IGO 8.3 that have it as part of the software suite, it would save the trip data somewhere in case of power loss or system reboot. My Garmin Zumo does that. (not IGO)
  23. I changed commonlib.dll, branding.zip and added the cache text and the TC started to work. I don't check it every time I drive so it could be a co-inkidink. I'll let you know if it stays running after a few days.
  24. My TC still doesn't work either, I'm adding Diaftia's cache line in my sys.txt, I don't know what it does but maybe there's a lack of resources issue to start it and keep it running. It could be that there is a temp variable to start it that is somehow missing or maybe a corrupt file just like the reboot problem, where you have to delete a file to kick it again.
